Everyone knew Katie and her crew never backed down from a fight and had zero sense of when to quit.
If those people ever got a shot at taking me down, knowing how they operate, they'd never just walk away from it.
Truth is, when it comes to scheming and playing the long game, nobody comes close to matching my level.
"Alright, that's what we're doing. I'll get the word out and watch how Katie handles it," Lucas said, pulling his phone from his pocket.
"Just make sure our guy doesn't get burned," Alan warned, taking another swig from his glass.
Lucas threw up an 'OK' sign, then stood and walked off to make his call.
With everything pretty much settled, I found myself drifting into my thoughts when something cold suddenly pressed into my palm.
I looked down and saw Phoebe had given me an orange.
I smiled at her. "Want an orange?"
