Milia was standing next to me as she had a sword on her hand.
"Today, I'll tell you the basics of how to feel mana."

After i was done cleaning up i went into the main garden and stood there with the already ready milia.
"What you need to do first is, feel the irregularity in the air. When you concentrate long enough, you will start feeling fluctuations in the air, they may be in the form of small explosions or electric charging sounds or the downpore of water. Based on your affinity, You'll be able to hear such voices."
"I see... That's pretty easy to understand!!"
I closed my eyes and started concentrating.
"A bit of that mana is stored in your core. You have to bring out that power while imagining what shape you want it to take."
"I see."
So... I started concentrating hard as i closed my eyes.
I started feeling the fragments of the air hitting my body.
It was a cold breeze, So it was somewhat freezing aswell.
I did that for a while and than
"Any Luck?"
Milia asked.
"Mhm... Nope!"
I stated as i concentrated again.
After about 2 hours of concentrating... I finally started hearing something.
Is that it?
"...I hear... the sounds of icebergs falling and crashing.."
I stated.
"That! THAT'S ITTT!!!"
She stated, somewhat excited.
I let out a sigh of relief as i could finally feel it.
"Now that you know your affinity, this is the hardest part and atleast takes 2 months in minimum to master. You were pretty slow with noticing the fluctuations of mana in the air but... it's fine."
"Haha... sorry!!"
"No, it's fine... So, concentrate and tell me... how clearly do you hear the souds of these? That will tell your affinity with The ice magic. Tell me clearly from distance to sound and clarity!! Everything!!"
"Yes!!"
I answered.
And, closed my yes again to concentrate.
I let out a big sigh as i started concentrating again.

After another 2 hours... i finally started distinguishing between this soubd and that sound.
"I hear it."
"Gah!! FINALLYY!!!"
She stated, both in anticipation and disappointment.
"Ao? How does it seem like? The sounds, the distance, the clarity?"
"... I don't know... It feels like... the more time i stay in this state the better the sounding get's. Or is it just a psychological thing?"
I asked, with my eyes still closed.
And it was true.
The more time i took in this state, the better and more clear the soulds got.
"So... how's the clarity now as when compared to 2 minutes ago?"
"It's definately gotten louder and more clear."
"Is it possible? That you really are a rare case among awakened?"
She stated, as if she were in deep thought.

My self depricating a** couldn't help but think like this.
"So... what does this mean?"
As the sounds were getting louder and were deafening my ears i quickly cut off the signals and looked at her in anticipating as i asked her this question.
"It simply means that you are a double edged sword."

I couldn't really understand what she meant.
So i asked with a stupid look on my face.
"See, your affinity with an element mainly depends on how well you can hear the sounds of the said element but since yours just get's better with time, that means that you do not have a cap in your ability which everyone else has."
Isn't that a good thing?
"But here lays the problem. You'll have to put in 20 tjmes more effort than the others to raise your level because you are in essence an irregular born with a cheat. You may have no cap to how strong you might grow but that said growth will depend on how hard you work and how well you perform."
I see... so, even though i don't have a cap to my abilities, the problem arises where my hardwork comes in.
If i don't work 10 times harder than most other hunters i won't see any results.
"So, How far did the sound go?"
"Huh?"
"In the 10 minutes you saw the increase, how far did those sounds lead to?"
"They were defeaning. I felt like my ears were going to bleed so i stopped the connection."
I stated scratching my head.
With an apologetic expression stating that i didn't exactly know where the cap ended vecause i had 0 endurance.
But... her expression was anything but irritated.
She had a face that suggested that she was shocked beyond understanding.
"That... makes no sense! In just 10 minutes you reached... The DISTRUCTION CLASS?"

"Why are you getting shivked dumbass? You can go beyond that... you can actually freeze the earth whole if you... reached your limit."
She stated, awestruck.
"Frey is barely a Explosion class... You... just how far can you go?"
"Is it that shocking? When someone has a 'no cap' limit... doesn't that just mean their potential is endless?"
"No not necessarily... While it's true that the no cap has an endless stream of possibilities... the problem arises that in just 10 minutes you reached distruction class when usually it takes a talented 'no cap' individual 1 hour of meditation and absolute concentration to reach that level..."
"Didn't i like take around 2 hours to perceive the spell followed by 10 minutes so... it should technicallyy be 2 hours 10 minutes."
"Dumbass! Individuals usually perceive Mana in the air 10 minues so, it's never counted... but... you... May have taken 2 hours but it's the after that actually matters... you only took 10 minutes to reach that realm... if you... took 1 hour... you'll probably reach the realm of gods..."
She stated, i just looked at her dumbfounded.

I stated, because there's no way someone like me could reach the realm of gods.

She asked, somewhat cautious.
"I may like you alot but... there's no way I'd play such a cheap trick to win your affection... I may not look it, but i have principles of my own aswell!!"
I stated, somewaht angry.

I could see a slight blush from her but i didn't take it seriously since she already liked someone else.
Honestly.mm i bet she'd blush even harder if he gave her a compliment.
Also, i shouldn't forget that I'm not staying here anywhere over 1 year.
Id i really have talent, than I'm joining another party but i'm definately not staying with them.
My services to them only go for the year.
"Now that i know your talents and how far your cap may lay, Let's get to training shall we?"
She stated with a giant smile on her face.
I can't really see this women or anyone else being head over heels for that Frey.

It still insanely hurtful when i see them get all lovey dovey with that guy.
Worst part is... he doesn't even seem to care that much.
If only i weren't so delusional back than... i probably never would have taken my feelings this far.
I'd have crushed em before they got this far, Like i always did in my previous life.
I was an expert at killing my feelings with intense self deprication.
I just thought that now that i was in another world... I could probably let go of my insecurities and fall in love again.
but, i was obviously wrong.
Not only is this shit making my life miserable.
But, it's also jeapourdising my mother's well being.
