In the Jonin meeting, Hiruzen briefed us about our deployment.
I and Guy were deployed on the Iwa front, in the Land of Grass to keep an eye on Iwa's movements, along with some chunins. Most manpower will be going towards Kumo, since the chances of Iwa directly attacking was very less since it lost around 15,000 or so ninjas during the Third Ninja War.
Going by canon, Iwa used rogue ninjas a lot, even Akatsuki. So there is a high chance that they will encounter Rogue ninjas.
Aside from the deployment, the jonins voted for Hiruzen to be reinststed temporarily until the situation calm downs.
I voted for him as well. Since the other option will be Orochimaru.
After the meeting ended, I stayed behind.
"Kakashi, you need something?"
"I want to talk to you about something in private, Hokage-sama."
Hiruzen looked at the elders, and they left.
And Danzo gave me the side eye. I wonder what he is planning?
Anyway, after they left, I said, "It's about Naruto. I believe that it will be for the best if Shikaku-san adopts him."
Hiruzen looked like he considered it, and then shook his head.
"It's better if he stays hidden amongst the children in the orphanage. Don't worry. ANBU are keeping eye on him 24×7.
Minato had a lot of enemies. We can't let others know about this."
Well, it seemed like every adult in the village already knew that he is the Jinchuriki in canon. Danzo must have leaked it. And after seeing Naruto, anyone with a brain would think that the Jinchuriki of the big bad Kyuubi kind of looks like the Fourth Hokage.
And spies must have seen Minato-sensei on dates with Kushina at Ichiraku Ramen...

"If your concern is about clans and political power, it's better for a civilian to adopt him. I believe Teuchi-san of Ichiraku Ramen will be the best choice—"

"Alright. Kakashi, you have strangely become assertive."
"If I am not, I will lose Naruto too."
Hiruzen nodded, accepting the reason for the change in Kakashi's behaviour.
So, ANBU in charge of Naruto, who I recognised as Minato-sensei's ANBU bodyguards, Genma, Raidou and Iwashi, came to the office with Naruto, and we went to Ichiraku Ramen. Which strangely seems untouched by the destruction Kurama brought.
Naruto looked kind of cute.
"Teuchi, can you take care of Naruto for me?"
Teuchi looked at Naruto in Genma's hands with closed eyes, and a flicker of recognition was on his face.
Of course he would see similarity with his most frequent customers.
"Naruto, that's a good name. Of course Hokage-sama. You can trust me on this."
Teuchi didn't show the slightest hesitation.
That's the Sage of Six Bowls for you.
So, Genma handed Naruto to Teuchi. And since he already has the experience of being a father, there was no hint of awkwardness in handling a baby.
I put Naruto's cradle in his house, and handed him good amount of money.
"There is no need for this..."
"Just take it. His parents earned for his sake, so they would like to have their money used on him."
Well, it's my own money. But Teuchi will not take it if I told him so.
"... Alright. I will make sure that Naruto gets the best life."
"Thank you Teuchi-san."
Now, Naruto will grow up with a loving family. Growing up eating and maybe even making Ramen.
And for that, Danzo needs to go.
Danzo will spread the rumours sooner or later, and maybe even target Teuchi and his daughter.
I am currently stronger than Danzo, even if I might have to kill him twice because of Izanagi.
The problem is ROOT. Which wouldn't be a problem with 2-3 years of training.
But time isn't necessary on my side.
So Uchihas will be my natural ally for this matter. But they aren't trustworthy, since they might actually leak his plan to Hiruzen, or just not do anything.
Maybe Shisui is not the best partner for this, but Fugaku...
That might work. Though it will be difficult to convince him to help me. Since he didn't even help his own clan.
After that, I left for home to prepare for my deployment.
But, I found Danzo standing in front of my house.
So let's start the mission of getting rid of Danzo.
