Jasmine's POV
Harry leaned closer, her smile stretching wider than seemed natural. "We're going to create such beautiful memories together."
Ice crept through my veins despite the warmth of the crowded store.
I managed a stiff smile and took a step backward. "I should head home now. The twins are expecting me, and it's already past their usual bedtime."
Her expression shifted to an exaggerated pout. "So soon? We've barely started our shopping adventure."
"I promised them a bedtime story tonight," I explained, gripping my purse tighter. "They'll stay awake waiting for me if I'm too late."
Lina started to move toward me, clearly picking up on my discomfort, but Harry's hand shot out like a striking snake, wrapping around Lina's wrist.
"Just one more store," Harry said, her voice light as air, but her fingers pressed white against Lina's skin. "You and I can look at the shoe selection together. Then you're free to leave too."
