Jayden's POV
The stranger staring back at me from the ornate mirror looked like hell. Dark circles shadowed my eyes, and my usually perfect hair stuck up in every direction. Even dressed in my pristine school uniform, I looked nothing like the prince everyone expected me to be.
My bedroom was a masterpiece of royal luxury. Polished marble gleamed under crystal chandeliers, silk drapes framed tall windows, and golden accents caught the morning light. Yet surrounded by all this wealth, I felt like I was drowning.
Abner had been a constant storm in my mind since that disaster at school with Palmer and Jasmine. My wolf paced relentlessly, consumed by the terror that someone else would claim our mate. That she would slip through our fingers because of my own cousin.
