Chapter 20 - CHAP-18: URBAN CHANGE

It was the 10 day since the apocalypse arrived. This was different from the first few days of the apocalypse.

Radio rescue broadcasts were no longer being issued, all national announcements were suspended, and the public's panicked hearts and the nearly empty grain stores in their homes had all hit rock bottom.

In the past few days, residents had started rushing out to find food. Either they starved to death or were bitten to death. Pushed to the brink, the Zombie was no longer so terrifying!

However, after this wave began, the number of Zombie in the City started to increase dramatically. There were really not many who could retreat completely unharmed from a Zombie horde.

Out of ten people who went out to find food, nine would die!No joke! Because in the early stages, people's fear and inexperience with Zombie made them dare not confront them directly.

Zombie were everywhere, coming from all directions, and they would suddenly get you. In the process of searching for food, if you were unlucky enough to encounter a cluster of Zombie, you would become their meal!

The number of new Zombie in the City began to surge, and just as the people inside were hungry for a long time, the Zombie outside were just as hungry. In their state of hunger, Zombie began to madly invade human living spaces.

For example.

Feliz****: "Holy crap! My door really can't hold up anymore! The Zombie outside have been getting louder and louder these past few days, constantly banging on my door. I've blocked everything that I can blocked! and I lock myself in the innermost room every day, why can the Zombie still find me!"

"I still have a lot of food at home, can anyone save me? I'm willing to trade my supplies!"

Ashira saw a good-looking young Man asking for help in a live video.

Looking at his profession, he was a food blogger. No wonder, he had a large amount of food sent by advertisers at home, as well as food he usually bought for reviews.

The inventory was quite considerable. And he was also very much a homebody, rarely going out, which made him one of the lucky ones during the Zombie crisis.

The only unlucky thing was that he rented a place in a youth apartment! Almost everyone on his floor had mutated.

Zombie wandered outside his apartment all day. After a few days of panic, the blogger listened to the advice of netizens and reinforced his door, hiding in the innermost suite, trying to isolate his scent.

But now, he could only feel the increasingly loud banging on the door! It seemed like all the Zombie in the entire building were surrounding his door!

After this blogger sent out a request for help, he quickly received a reply from a fitness coach living in the same building.

Gerald*****: "I can come and save you, but you have to give me half of your food!"

"No problem!" The blogger quickly replied, "How are you coming over?"

Gerald*****: "I live directly above you. I'll put a rope out the window for you in a bit, you grab the rope and I'll pull you up!"

"Okay!" The blogger immediately started packing. He tied his camera to his head to live stream to everyone.

Instant noodles, snacks, self-heating pots, water, he spread it all out. The person upstairs told him to hoist the food up first, making it easier for him to climb later.

The blogger complained to the camera. "I'm not stupid, if I hoist all the food up and they don't take me, how can that work!"

He tied all the supplies he could carry from his home onto himself. And at that moment, he heard the sound of his room door being broken down.

"Crash!"

Gerald*****: "Hurry up!"

"Coming!" The blogger glanced over and saw that his room door had indeed been broken open, and countless Zombie were surging in.

All the Zombie were greyish-black all over, many had their abdomens wide open, with rotten flesh intestines like black hemp ropes dragging out from their bellies, blackish-brown skin tightly clinging to their faces, some had no facial features left, only bloody messes, black holes where bones were visible.

These Zombie, who hadn't eaten for days, were lunging at him with bared fangs and claws. Who wouldn't get weak in the knees seeing this scene?

He pulled shut the flimsy little door to his bedroom and jumped onto the balcony. "You must save me!"

He grabbed the rope dangling from above. However, when he grabbed the rope, he felt like he really had too much on his back!

"You're too heavy!" The fitness coach upstairs was pulled down by his weight and almost fell off directly. "There's still time now, put the food down separately! Get the food up first!"

"No! No! Together!" The blogger adamantly disagreed. At such a dangerous time, if he gave him all the food, he definitely wouldn't save him!

"Then throw out some of the food!" Hearing this, the blogger, without another word, flung out the water he had on him.

"Not enough! I haven't eaten for days, I don't have enough strength! Throw out a little more stuff!" Hearing this, the blogger complained on camera. "He even calls himself a fitness coach when his this weak! What am I going to eat later if I throw everything away!?"

He threw out a few more items of food, and by the time his weight was finally manageable enough for the person above to hold him, the door to his room was also broken open.

"Ahhh! Pull me up quickly!"

"Pull me up quickly!" He was stuck in mid-air.

"Hang all the food in the basket next to it, I'll pull you and the food up separately, pull you up! Then pull the food!"

"No! No! The food must come with me!" God knows if he would let go of him after he put the food in! In this day and stage, food was life!

"You have to believe me! Otherwise, you won't be able to get up!" The blogger hesitated for a moment, but before he could hesitate, his ankle was grabbed by a shriveled hand.

The blogger struggled violently, kicking and pulling. The intense pain and fear made him climb up quickly.

Gerald*****: "I really can't pull you!"

"I'll give you food! I'll give you food!" At this moment, he finally decided to give up the food, but it was already too late.

The Zombie, smelling human scent, howled and climbed towards the window sill, reaching out frantically from the window. Some Zombie fell, and some Zombie grabbed onto climbing surfaces. The surging Zombie behind them even trampled on their companions, like a Zombie eruption, reaching for the blogger in mid-air.

Sharp claws pierced his skin, and a nimble Zombie grabbed his leg. With his kicking and struggling, a strong force tore off his entire leg.

"Ah--"

After one of the blogger's legs was torn off, the other was also quickly grabbed and torn off, leaving only two bloody, bare leg bones.

The sharp screams and surging blood stimulated the frenzied Zombie below. The Zombie below the apartment building rapidly converged in this direction, and they also tried to climb up.

Seeing this scene, the fitness coach upstairs no longer cared about the food. He let go of his hand and directly dropped the blogger who was hanging in mid-air.

When the blogger landed, the Zombie climbing on the wall and window sill, like vicious dogs chasing food, followed him down.

The moment he landed, he was submerged in the surging tide of Zombie. Quickly dismembered and eaten.
