As charles sat there thinking contemplating everything he has come to know about dragons he could feel slight killing intent seeping from Oni.
Dragons were seen as ferocious blood thirsty destructive god like beings. That were knkwn to kidnap a woman or two. They were obsessed with riches such as gold and diamonds and this is exactly what was on charles mind.
Oni lost his patience. Then asked remember when I spoke directly into your mind. You wouldn't be here right now if we didn't have something in common. You should have also realized by now that you see none of thst stuff as far as your eye can see.
Us dragons for sure love or treasure but it has nothing to do with gold and diamonds and if I was bloodthirsty would you still be breathing now.
Charles was fed up with the arrogance of oni and finally couldn't take it anymore. For the first time in his life he stood up for himself. He yelled as loud as his lungs would allow. Why if we are equals do you keep yelling at me and speaking down to me?
I've been going thru this my whole life. Someone always seeing me as someone not even worthy of respect. I thought things would be different here.
Oni smirked. Charles continued You've obviously been annoyed by presence and you don't want me here. When Charles entered the room he realized the shrine was bigger on the inside. This room was huge. It was one wall lined with nothing but books. Except the book cases looked as tho they could reach the sky and still not end. On the other side was masks lined the wall that all seemed to be staring at charles. Plus there was a sliding door in the back with the design of a sword.in the middle of the room. There was nothing but a tea pot and two cups. Oni said let's take a seat. There was nothing but pillows. So charles waited for Oni to sit then imitated. He sat on the balls of his feet.
Don't worry we have more than enough time. No rush in this space time moves 3x slower. Take your time sip your tea. Don't worry about the masks. They can't come alive. Tell me which one catches your eyes.
