"Hey, can you pass the milk over?" My dad groaned.
He pulled an all-nighter last night. He wanted to finish his project because 'It is almost done,' he said. Well… It wasn't.
"Hey, Mom. You wouldn't believe this… Kea got a girlfriend."
"No!? I told you last night, she's my assigned roommate!" I said, an exhausted anger building up in my throat.
My mom looked up from her plate.
"Yeah."
She looked very uninterested.
"Hmm? He what!?" She gasped.
Everybody looked at my mom; she never, ever raises her voice past a certain level, and almost never speaks full sentences.
