After the best night's sleep Freda and David had since receiving the news of David's dad, they woke up and looked around the room packing away their supplies.
"we don't have much space so we are going to pack efficiently. 4 beds and 8 chests. I think that will mean we have 2 each. We should use one for necessities and one for everything else" she panted as putting her clothes away.
Meanwhile David was clearing the dust from the bookshelves and placing their books, "I wonder who our team will be" he commented as the last book was placed on the shelf. "What now?"
Just in that moment someone appeared from the granite walls. "What the, who are you?!" David exclaimed putting his fists in the air ready for a fight.
"Hello, I am spy master Ivy, it's nice to meet you. Ill will be teaching you the art of deceit" the woman softly spoke. David in absolute awe froze in place mouth wide open. She was the woman from his dreams. Blonde hair, lightly tanned with natural beauty. Coming back to he turned red, trying to compose himself "please don't tell me you seen me in the bathroom".
Freda chuckled uncontrollably at the sight of her son; this is the first time she has seen him take an interest in someone since they've been living in isolation.
"No, I was here the whole time, why? Are you hiding the kings' jewels under there?" laughed ivy. "I wanted to show you how effective this art can be, while you are occupied, I managed to slip in and conceal myself with my carbon fox which has a certain special ability. One of which can turn into a clear diamond, camouflaging us. Fun fact did you know diamonds form from carbon, and as cool as it is you will learn about these elements in science class. Imagine what information I could have picked up, very useful. Okay get prepared and meet me in the arena, we need to stick to the timeframe" while waving herself out the door.
David looked at Freda in horror while Freda still showed the remnants of a smirk, "I think I'm going to like this one, she is very…unique and perky" patting her son on the shoulder pacing out the door. David hung his dad's axe on the wall, took a moment to remember his smile, then followed his mums steps out the door.
"Okay, so the first lesson of this class is going to be drawing attention to something else to get what you need done without anyone noticing!" ivy bellowed from the centre of the arena, meanwhile someone was sneaking into their room behind them. Freda and David walked forward hastily towards ivy. "First things first…" ivy went on with the lesson. In their room the axe was took from its place.
As the hours went on with the intense training lunch time came, slumping down on the benches David thought silently 'my brain feels like it is going to explode, I have learned so much today, but I need to practice it'. Freda handed David some oats with a banana, "eat up son, I think we are going to need our energy". After mauling their lunches, they went into their room to rest when David noticed the axe, stopping suddenly at the door and spinning on his heels back out "WHERE IS MY DADS AXE!".
"It's important that we understand that we are not the only ones who have mastered this art, you must be aware at all times, even in your comfort." Ivy sternly replied throwing the axe across the arena, slamming straight into the door beside him.
"WATCH IT!" screamed David. "Every time you see that mark on that door, let it be a reminder most things in this world is designed for you to perceive it a certain way" snarled Ivy walking out of the arena.
David's shock was interrupted by the squeak of the door opening, Freda seeing the axe eye level, shot David a look, "well, isn't she a feisty one, I wonder what she has in store for us next?".
