Chapter 6 - Bloodlines Awaken(5)

Raelen of the Storm clan

The moon's ray shined on a slender, tall yet athletic figure standing by the window. His warm olive skin glowing under the moonlight and his striking heterochromia eyes-one deep amber and the other dark charcoal gray. His dark auburn hair was tied in a wild ponytail and a lazy smirk lingered on his lips.

Raelen storm, heir to the storm clan was often perceived as a lunatic. He was one. Always breaking the rules, challenging elders during council meetings and his motto; " Order is a lie the boring tell themselves- chaos is where life begins."

A faint knock came through the door. It creaked open and a female vampire walked in. Her skin was pale, contrasting to her lushous black hair. Her silver ring eyes staring at him.

" Your lordship." she said, bowing slightly and his smirk widened.

" Ah! Celeste, what brings you here?" he asked, not turning to meet her gaze.

" Your lordship, there has been something going on recently." Celeste replied.

Raelen turned this time, leaning against the window's railing. His eyes flickering in amusement.

" Really? How interesting is it?" he asked.

Celeste stood straight taking a few strides towards him.

" The heirs of the four clans are all heading to valemorra academy." She replied.

Raelen frowned slightly.

" The academy? What is so interesting about that?" he asked, unimpressed.

" Your father believes there is a hidden agenda behind it all." Celeste replied.

" Hmmm…hidden agenda?" he said thoughtfully.

" Yes, your lordship."

Raelen turned back to the window. He could the see the roof of the academy all the way from his bedchamber.

" So….he wants me to go too?" he asked

" Precisely."

" With what aim?" he asked.

" He said you would know what to do all on your own." Celeste replied.

" I guess I'll be meeting my brothers very soon." Raelen said.

Celeste's frowned this time.

" They are not your brothers, your lordship." she said.

Raelen turned to look at her. An adorable smile on his lips, he crossed his arms. Eyes sparkling.

" Oh? But they are. We are of the same species afterall and I don't get to see them. So, this is a good opportunity." he said.

" Isn't it?"

" Your lordship, this is not a joke" Celeste said.

Raelen's smile changed from adorable, to an uneasy chilling smirk.

" Is it not? I heard that academy has a lot of rules. It would be fun to break everyone of them." he said.

" Your lordship, you will not embarrass your father and our clan. You will have to conduct yourself with dignity." Celeste said and Raelen laughed.

The kind that showed the intensity of his eyes and the madness behind his laugh.

" Dignity? Conduct? Since when have I ever done that. If you think I will embarrass our clan then you can go in my stead." he said.

Celeste sighed. Raelen was beyond reasonable, there was no point trying to convince him.

" Do as you please, your lordship. But make sure you find out what those clans are up to." she said but Realen had long stopped listening to her. His eyes staring blankly at the walls.

" Your lordship?" Celeste called.

" Do you think the blood of those other vampires would be tasty?" he asked.

Celeste widened her eyes.

" Your lordship!!"

" You are not allowed to kill anyone in the academy."

Raelen raised an eyebrow.

" Really? It would be fun to try something new, wouldn't it?" he asked.

" Killing your fellow kind isn't trying something new." Celeste pointed out.

" Oh? Then why did we kill each other in the great war?" Raelen asked.

" That was different, your lordship." Celeste said.

" How different? Honestly, I wouldn't mind if we had a second war. A lot of blood would be nice to see." he said.

" Your lordship, you will do no such thing." Celeste said.

Raelen's aura shifted instantly. Although he was smiling, Celeste knew it was not a kind smile but the ones that meant if she said anything against him again, he would end her in a snap of a finger.

" You will not tell me what I should and should not do, Celeste." he said, coldly.

" Know your place."

" I apologize for my insolence, your lordship." she apologized, bowing slightly.

Raelen smiled again. Warmer this time.

" The academy has a lot of strong vampires….that means their blood would be even tastier." he said.

" Do as you please, your lordship. But keep in mind…."

" Do not worry. I will gain their trust with my charm and then kill them bit by bit until there is nothing left of them" Raelen cut in, staring back at the roof of valemorra academy.

Celeste smiled proudly. She knew Raelen wouldn't disappoint.

" I trust you, your lordship." she said.

Raelen smirked.

" This is quite interesting, Celeste." he said.
