Chapter 17: The Punishment
Zein's Point of View...
I glared at Mia when I saw her subtly taking my ice cream. I stopped eating when I saw Fritzy swaying her hips. She went straight to us with a wide grin.
"Supremo is calling you," she said smiling.
"Why?" I asked.
"I don't know! He's waiting for you in the wide space."
She rolled her eyes at me before swaying her hips away again and joining her friends, who were all boys.
"Flirt." I heard Vanessa say.
"Ah guys, I'm sorry? I'm being called," I scratched my head in embarrassment.
"It's fine! You have a responsibility in HU!" Jerome supported me.
"I'll walk you there," Matt offered.
I just nodded and we walked together. The wide space in HU was far because it was near the end.
"You and Supremo seem to be getting close,"
I stopped in my tracks and couldn't speak right away. I wanted to laugh because I knew that Ace and I could never be close; he didn't even have friends.
"You replaced me."
I really couldn't stop laughing at his cheesiness, which I admit was a kilig (thrilling) feeling. If I were assuming things, I would probably think he was jealous, but knowing this guy, I knew he was just kidding.
Sigh!
"We'll all be close to the SSG but not him, he isolated himself, only talks to us when he needs something."
"Why do you look disappointed?"
I glared at him for what he said, which made him laugh. He even put his arm around me. Eh!
"Just kidding, I know I'm the only one in your heart."
"You're so cheesy!"
I felt my cheeks turning red. Of all the jokes, Matt's joke was the most kilig. Psh.
"Haha what's cheesy about that? I'm just telling the truth, I know you have a crush on me!"
I really froze and my face felt hot. He knows? Who told him? Am I too obvious?! This is embarrassing!
"Hahaha just kidding! Look at you!"
Eh? Good thing! I really thought he knew. Oh gosh! The person who told him will be in big trouble! He might feel awkward around me, he might avoid me. My heart will break if that happens.

"Why is that jerk calling you anyway? We just got some time together and he still has to interrupt!"
I could really feel the disappointment in his tone. No joke.
"Why? Do you have the courage to fight Supremo now?" I joked.
"No. But if you're the reason, I'll really have the courage."
Is he serious? He's going to fight Supremo for me? Eh? He's just kidding, isn't he? Darn it, Matt! You're so misleading! I wish it were true. I wish.
"Here we are." We stopped and I saw Supremo sitting on a bench at the other side of the wide space.
"Thanks." I said.
He slowly removed his arm from around me. There really is no forever. Hay.
"You're welcome, anything for my best friend." He said, which made me smile.
Best friend. Okay.
"I'll go ahead," I said. I don't know why, but I lost my enthusiasm. Why? I was so happy earlier, right? Am I bipolar?
"Wait!" He pulled me so I ended up crashing into his chest. I glared at him but he just gave me a smile in return.

"What?" I asked.
"I have a question for you." He said seriously.
What is it this time Matt? You're being misleading again! Don't ask if you can court me! You totally can.
"Who's more handsome between me and Supremo?"
My jaw dropped at his question. I couldn't answer immediately because the question was so difficult, it was harder than math.
"Eh? What kind of question is that?"
"Just answer it."
I just sighed. I know he won't stop until I answer him. Oh gosh.
"Of course you, Matthew! Who else?"
A wide smile appeared on his lips and he looked behind me. My eyes widened when I saw Supremo with a poker face.
"I'm leaving! Bye!"
He hurried away, still shouting and jumping, while I didn't know what to say to Supremo. Did he hear?

"You are 30 minutes late,"
I couldn't speak. Does she monitor the time? Well, he needs time management because he has a lot going on.
I didn't realize that my conversation with Matt had taken so long.
"And it seems I know why. Remember our agreement Ms. Shion, once I call you. ASAP. Do you want me to stop you from talking to them?" She threatened me.
Fuck you Supremo.
"Sorry,"
"Anyway, the reason I called you is because of what I heard," I looked at her. he was still serious. he adjusted his eye glasses. "I found out what you did to Queen Roxane." She continued.
I almost rolled my eyes, good thing I stopped myself.
"Yes, I slapped her 160 degrees." I admitted.
"Roxane is the Queen of HU for pete's sake! You have no right to hurt her, you are just nothing but a powerless secretary!"
"Hell yes and I don't fucking care!"
Fuck you 100 times Supremo!
It hurts when you speak. They started it, if they hadn't bothered me and hurt me, she wouldn't have been slapped 160 degrees. It's no longer my fault! Stupid.
He adjusted her glasses again before speaking again.
"What did you get? Raze hurt you," She smirked at me as if she was very happy that I got hurt.
"Yes, and so what?"
I couldn't help but be grumpy. Day spoiler! he only called me to lecture me.
"You should be punished." he said which made me frown.
"K."
"Your punishment is to clean the cafeteria for a week."
My jaw dropped at what he said. Of all the punishments I could think of, cleaning wasn't one of them.
"For a week? For real?"
I couldn't do anything. Once he said it, he meant it, no more question.
I went to the library first to cool down. As usual it was quiet and the librarian was busy with what she was reading.
I went to the last table and buried my face in my arms.
I will clean the cafeteria every afternoon, Supremo has already ordered that the cafeteria should not be cleaned because I will do it. Heartless.
I felt someone sit in front of me. I lifted my gaze and saw Celine smiling at me.
Creepy Shit.
"How are you Zein? You really have a strong connection with Death."
"What do you need?"
This girl is really creepy. What she knows is not ordinary.
"Nothing much. I just found out something that will surely destroy your world," she said.
What did she find out again and why would it affect me? I don't want to, I don't want to know what she knows. I have too many things on my mind, I don't want to add more.
"Traitor, you have a traitor around you." She said.
I don't know why but I stood up from my seat. I don't want to hear whatever she's going to say. I don't want to know what she knows. I don't want to.
"Be careful Zein, if he finds out what the secret formula is, you will be in danger. The disaster is yet to come, hurry up Zein, get ahead of them."
I left the library without even resting. That Celine is really hell weird. She's probably out of her mind.
Who are they?
It's afternoon and this is really the most accursed day for me. Carrying a broomstick and a rag, I was greeted with the disaster that is the cafeteria.
I don't know if they intentionally made a mess today, it wasn't this bad before but now it looks like a storm passed through.
"I'm gonna watch you and monitor your performance," said Supremo who said he would watch me.
Do I look like I'm going to escape?!
I started sweeping the marble floor and picked up plastics, and other glasses where juice was placed.
"Faster, you'll be caught by the bloody night if you won't work faster than this," his impatient suggestion.
I didn't bother to answer. I haven't even talked to him since earlier, I'm sulking. Hmp!
I grimaced when I touched the sticky coffee on the floor. I annoyed wiped it on my blouse.
"Filthy." I heard him say.
I annoyed rolled my eyes into space before getting a rag and wiped it. A week of this?! Damn.
After the floor, I wiped the tables. I was sweating profusely and this annoying Ace did nothing but comment full of insults. I felt very sticky all over my body which was true.
"You took 2 hours and 5 minutes. Psh. Tidy up your things you used," he left the cafeteria and I stomped in annoyance.
He left me! Fuck you Supremo indeed.
I washed the rag then put it in the cafeteria kitchen and faced the mirror. The coffee on my blouse had dried up and my hair was also messy. My forehead was furrowed and my lips were pouting.

I looked at the wall clock. Only 30 minutes left before bloody night.
I hurried out and almost screamed when I saw Supremo waiting.
"You took 10 minutes again." He said shaking his head. "I'll take you to your dorm." He offered.
Huh! Good thing he still felt sorry for me. I hate you Ace! I also hate you Roxane! The two of you go together!
"See you tomorrow again, Zein." He said.
I don't know why but I was stunned. This is the first time he called me by my name. He always called me Ms. Shion.
What's the big deal, Zein?
When I entered, only Dave was there and the others were probably asleep.
"Oh? Why do you look like that?" He asked laughing

"Oh please Dave. Don't tease me, I'm in a bad mood right now!"
I marched to my room and quickly took off my blouse.
Hell Day. Hell Punishment. Hell yes, 6 more days to go.
