The Queen's plan was set in motion, and the palace was abuzz with whispers of treachery and deceit. Sophia, still reeling from the revelation of her true identity, was kept in a state of high alert, surrounded by Prince Henry's most trusted guards.
But the Queen was relentless, her determination to expose Sophia and claim the throne for herself driving her to take drastic measures.
As the sun rose over the palace, a figure emerged from the shadows, seeking an audience with Prince Henry. It was Lord Thomas, the Queen's most trusted advisor, and the one man who could bring the entire kingdom to its knees.
"Your Majesty," Lord Thomas said, bowing low as he entered Prince Henry's chambers. "I come with grave news. The Queen has been secretly meeting with foreign dignitaries, offering them trade agreements and alliances in exchange for their support in her bid for the throne."
Prince Henry's eyes narrowed, his face set in a stern expression. "I knew it," he growled. "She's been playing a double game all along."
Lord Thomas nodded, his face pale. "I'm afraid so, Your Majesty. And I have proof."
With trembling hands, Lord Thomas produced a small scroll, sealed with the Queen's own signet ring. Prince Henry's eyes scanned the document, his face growing grimmer with each passing moment.
"This is treason," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "She's sold out our kingdom to the highest bidder."
As the news spread like wildfire through the palace, the Queen's supporters began to turn against her, sensing the tide of power shifting in favor of Prince Henry and Sophia.
The Queen, realizing her plan had been discovered, made a desperate bid to silence Lord Thomas, but he was too quick, and the palace guards were too loyal to her son.
"You've made a grave mistake, Mother," Prince Henry said, his voice cold as ice as he confronted the Queen. "You're under arrest for treason, and you will face the consequences of your actions."
The Queen's face twisted with rage, her eyes flashing with defiance. "You'll never take me down," she spat. "I am the Queen, and I will not be defeated."
But it was too late, as the palace guards moved in, surrounding her, and taking her into custody.
As the Queen was led away, Sophia emerged from the shadows, her eyes locked on Prince Henry's.
"It's over," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Prince Henry nodded, his face set in a determined expression. "It's just the beginning," he said, his eyes shining with a newfound sense of purpose. "The kingdom will be rebuilt, and we will lead it, together."
