Chen Xier's words made Su Yu shrug a little.
The prices here really were cheaper than most breeding houses—but that was for Chen Xier. After all, she was a genuine rich girl. A few hundred thousand a month was pocket change to her. For ordinary Trainers, this kind of price would still make their hearts ache.
Su Yu made all the energy cubes himself, and in the future he would even prepare most of the raw materials on his own. From any angle, he was guaranteed to make a profit. In short: you may think it's cheap, but I'm definitely not losing money.
As for why he didn't charge for training equipment?
Simple—he didn't have any.
And honestly, he didn't need them.
For low-level Pokémon, what training equipment was necessary? Just letting them help with daily work in the orchard was more than enough to exhaust them. Only truly high-level Pokémon needed specialized devices.
After the contract was signed, Chen Xier left Ralts' Poké Ball behind. Just as she was about to leave, she suddenly remembered something and paused.
"Su Yu Senior," she asked hesitantly, "aren't you planning to install a Poké Ball teleporter here?"
"If someone leaves their Pokémon with you and suddenly needs to use it, you'll need one of those machines. Otherwise, it'll be pretty inconvenient."
She felt that something important was still missing here.
A teleporter?
Su Yu blinked.
"That thing is insanely expensive," he said honestly. "Do you think I can afford one right now?"
"Even most breeding houses don't have one. Maintenance alone costs a fortune. If even a small part breaks, repairs can easily run into millions."
Right now, Su Yu's net worth simply couldn't handle that kind of expense.
Hearing this, Chen Xier immediately realized her oversight. She almost forgot—her family had several teleporters at home, so she was used to them. She knew very well how expensive they were.
After thinking for a moment, she suddenly smiled.
"How about this, Su Yu Senior," she said. "I'll get the machines for you."
"Teleporters, healing machines—I can handle all of them."
"I have a best friend whose family specializes in this kind of equipment. Getting a few units over won't be a problem."
"Without these, running a breeding house is really inconvenient. What do you think?"
The moment she said this, Su Yu's expression became serious.
Another rich woman?
After a short pause, Su Yu spoke carefully.
"Then how about this," he said."I'll give you a complete advanced energy cube formula."
"Low cost, high effectiveness."
"We'll use the patent value to offset the cost of the machines."
"Besides teleporters and healing machines, I also want large-scale egg hatching machines, gene testing equipment, strength detection systems—basically everything a breeding house needs."
"This formula will be the exchange. What do you think?"
Since she had the connections, it made sense to let her handle it directly. Originally, Su Yu planned to license this formula just like the others. But once Chen Xier mentioned these machines, he realized it was better to get everything done at once.
Sooner or later, he would need them anyway.
And the cost?
Astronomical.
Even a second-hand Poké Ball teleporter cost tens of millions. Brand new ones were even worse. Add healing machines, strength analyzers, gene detectors… setting up a full lab would burn through money like water.
But having them would make everything infinitely more convenient.
Injured Pokémon could be treated on-site instead of running to a Pokémon Center every time. Just put the Poké Ball into the healing machine, wait a few minutes, and done.
No Pokémon healer could match that efficiency—unless you had a mythical Pokémon treating injuries personally.
As for gene detection machines, Su Yu was thinking long-term. These machines could clearly display a Pokémon's aptitude and even judge the quality of Pokémon eggs.
Strength detection systems were equally important. They could display a Pokémon's full skill set, attributes, and growth potential. Some newer machines even combined multiple functions into one.
Unfortunately, Su Yu's system didn't give him things like appraisal vision. If he wanted precise data, machines were the only option.
Chen Xier was momentarily speechless after hearing all this.
But after thinking it through, she nodded decisively.
"Alright," she said. "I agree."
"I'll handle it."
"I'll ask my best friend if she has stock right now. If she does, I'll have everything delivered this afternoon."
From her perspective, this deal was extremely profitable. Buying out a premium energy cube formula would generate far more money within five years than the cost of these machines.
If anything, Su Yu was the one giving her a huge advantage.
And that made her quite happy.
Seeing her agree, Su Yu didn't hesitate. He immediately took out a document from the side and handed it to her.
"Here," he said. "That's the formula."
"If you want the finished product, I can make it for you right now."
"You can handle the patent side later."
Chen Xier accepted the document and skimmed through it. After a moment, she shook her head.
"No need to register a patent," she said calmly.
"Once you register it, the whole world knows it exists."
"And I trust you, Su Yu Senior."
"This kind of formula isn't easy to crack anyway."
"Sometimes, not registering is safer than registering."
She understood immediately.
And Su Yu couldn't help but smile.
Smart people really didn't need explanations.
