An advanced energy cube formula was not something you could simply copy by looking at a finished product. Even if the cube were placed right in front of you, reproducing it accurately would be extremely difficult. The ratios alone were enough to ruin everything—one tiny mistake, and the entire energy cube would lose its intended effect or turn into something completely different. That was precisely why, sometimes, not registering a patent was actually safer than registering one.
Because of this, Su Yu had no objections to Chen Xier's decision. From the moment he handed over the formula, it already belonged to her. How she chose to use it was entirely up to her.
"Up to you," Su Yu said casually. "It's yours now anyway."
Chen Xier smiled, took out her phone, and began sending messages. "I'll contact my best friend right now and ask her to arrange the delivery. If nothing unexpected happens, all the machines should arrive this afternoon."
After a brief pause, she added with some excitement, "Oh, right—my best friend is a very strong Trainer. Elite level. I think she'd be really interested in your place. Maybe you could even let her send some Pokémon over for training?"
Hearing this, Su Yu paused for a moment, then shook his head. "Let's talk about that later. This place still isn't fully set up. Ordinary Pokémon are fine, but if high-level Pokémon come, I don't really have the facilities to train them properly."
Strong Trainers meant strong Pokémon, and strong Pokémon required proper training environments. Right now, Su Yu simply didn't have the space or equipment for that level yet.
Chen Xier was slightly surprised, but she quickly nodded in understanding and didn't press the issue.
After everything was settled, she officially handed Ralts' Poké Ball over to Su Yu. Then she turned aside to continue coordinating the delivery of the machines, transferring funds and confirming logistics with her best friend.
Su Yu, meanwhile, carried Ralts in his arms and walked toward the newly completed breeding house.
The building stood quietly under the sunlight, clean and bright. Behind it was a vast backyard—far larger than most people would expect. Fruit trees were planted in neat areas, and beyond them lay a clear lake fed by mountain springs. Several small streams converged there, forming pure spring water that shimmered under the light. Wild Pokémon were already playing near the water's edge, treating the place as their own territory.
Su Yu remembered that, in the past, the old dean used to fetch water from here. Now, the lake belonged to him. From this lake, water flowed outward, eventually joining a river that led all the way to the sea.
He gently placed Ralts on the ground and pointed toward Pikachu, who was napping lazily under the shade of a tree not far away.
"Go play for a while," Su Yu said. "I'll call you when it's time to eat. We'll officially start training tomorrow. I'm going to prepare your energy cubes now."
Ralts looked at him, then nodded happily."Ral~~!"
In the next instant, Ralts disappeared in a flash of light and reappeared beside Pikachu using Teleport. A mischievous smile crept onto its face. Carefully avoiding direct contact, it used telekinesis to squeeze Pikachu's cheeks.
Tiny sparks crackled.
"Zi—!"
Pikachu jolted awake."Pika?!"
It looked around in confusion, unable to see who had touched it. Ralts had already slipped behind the tree. Only faint giggling betrayed its location.
When Pikachu finally noticed Ralts laughing openly, it immediately grew angry and charged over. The two Pokémon began play-fighting under the tree, tumbling and chasing each other until they were both exhausted.
Chen Xier's Ralts was clearly different from the shy, timid Ralts most people knew. Cheerful, bold, and just a little mischievous—almost with a dark streak—it fit in surprisingly well.
After they tired themselves out, the two Pokémon lay under the tree together, resting peacefully. That calm didn't last long, though. Soon, a group of children from the orphanage came running over after finishing their tour of the breeding house. Seeing Pikachu and Ralts, they excitedly surrounded them, pulling them back into play.
It wasn't hard to imagine that, in the future, the Pokémon in this backyard would become close companions to the children.
Before long, Su Yu called out from a distance, summoning help. The aunts from the orphanage quickly gathered—work was about to begin. It was time to start producing energy cubes.
Not long after, Chen Xier finished coordinating with her best friend and came looking for Su Yu. Hearing his voice, she followed the sound and found him busy with the children, already preparing ingredients.
When Su Yu noticed her, he glanced up and said, "Your Ralts is in the backyard with Pikachu. I'm making her energy cubes now. If you want to see her, you can head back there."
Chen Xier nodded, but instead of leaving, she looked at Su Yu with curiosity. "Su Yu Senior… can I watch you make them?"
She was genuinely interested—not just as a client, but as someone who wanted to learn.
Su Yu hesitated briefly, then nodded. "That's fine. Just watch from the side."
He wasn't worried. These energy cubes relied heavily on Psychic control. Even watching closely, copying them would be nearly impossible.
As Su Yu returned to his work, the first real day of the breeding house quietly moved forward—busy, lively, and full of promise.
