Melissa leaned forward in her chair, concern crossing her perfectly made-up face.
"Rowan? What is wrong? You look like you have just seen a ghost." She stated, her brows furrowing slightly but not enough to make her delicate makeup wrinkled.
But Rowan didn't answer.
He couldn't, actually. His mind was spinning too fast, trying to process what his father had just told him.
Lucian arrested for murder? It didn't make sense.
Without a word, Rowan stood up from his desk and walked toward the door.
"Rowan, are you okay?" Melissa started, standing up as well.
But Rowan brushed past her without even acknowledging she had spoken, his movements were sharp and urgent.
He walked out of his office, his face set in grim determination.
