Nora's POV
The familiar chime of the bookstore door greets me as I push through the entrance, balancing a pink box from the local bakery. Ophelia stands behind the register helping a customer while Vivien sorts through new arrivals nearby. I spot Starla in the nonfiction corner, guiding a browser toward the self-help section.
"Surprise delivery!" I announce, setting the box on the counter with a flourish.
Ophelia's face lights up as she finishes processing the customer's purchase. "Please tell me those are the maple glazed ones from downtown."
"Among other varieties," I confirm, lifting the lid to reveal an assortment of colorful treats. "I figured you could use some fuel after being here since dawn."
Vivien abandons her book sorting and rushes over, pressing a hand to her stomach. "You're a lifesaver. We completely forgot about breakfast in all the chaos of inventory day."
