Raccoon City police Department was one of the few places in Resident Evil that left a lasting impression on him.
Back in the day, playing the game, Emrys had spent no less than eight hours going back and forth in that dilapidated place!
From getting lost even with a map at first, to eventually knowing it better than his own living room with his eyes closed, one could get a glimpse of his experience.
As for the suffering he endured, it was even more heartbreaking; if not for a few female protagonists, how could he possibly play a horror game?
Just as he was sighing, Uther, relying on sheer brute force, tore off the police Department's iron gate.
The enormous sound startled the police inside. A black man emerged, staring dumbfounded at Uther, who stood two and a half meters tall and had just ripped apart several centimeters of rebar with pure strength.
"St-Stop! Don't move!"
The police officer shakily drew his gun, aimed it at Uther, and shouted hoarsely, "Take one more step, and I'll fire!"
However, before the police officer could pull the trigger, he suddenly felt a strong gust of wind hit his face.
Immediately after, a suffocating force gripped his throat, lifting him directly into the air as if he were a chick.
He struggled painfully, trying to pry open the fingers that were choking his throat.
But soon, he despairingly realized that those five fingers were like steel tongs; no matter how hard he tried, they wouldn't budge. So he could only change his method and furiously kick the tall man.
But this move also had no effect; the sensation of his foot striking was like kicking steel.
In just a few seconds, lack of oxygen filled his vision with blood-red, and his soul felt as if it was about to float out of his body. Just as he was about to suffocate, he suddenly heard a voice.
"Put him down, Uther."
The voice was like a heavenly melody, and the fingers gripping him loosened.
"Gasp. Gasp."
He gasped for air desperately, coughing violently, his face filled with terror.
In those few seconds, he felt as if he had visited the underworld, his soul almost leaving his body.
"Hello, officer Marvin." At this moment, a hand with distinct knuckles and long fingers reached out, and a slightly apologetic voice said, "I apologize for his rude behavior."
Officer Marvin was one of the few people he had a good impression of.
In the game, he helped the rookie Leon S. Kennedy a lot on his first day and then decisively sacrificed himself. From a character perspective, there was absolutely nothing negative to say.
From a chronological standpoint, Marvin had not yet been infected, which was also a good thing.
Marvin clutched his throat, which still throbbed with pain, and looked up at the Master of the hand: "Who... who are you?"
"The one to solve your problems, officer Marvin."
Emrys reached out and pulled Marvin from the ground, a smile playing on his lips as he said, "I know there's been a bit of an accident at the Police Department, so I've specifically come to help you deal with the trouble. No need to thank me."
"...I, never mind." Marvin's eye twitched. He wanted to refuse, but after glancing at the intimidating Uther beside him, he wisely swallowed his words.
Thus, under officer Marvin's 'enthusiastic' welcome, the two entered the Raccoon City Police Department.
Looking at the familiar layout of the entire police Department, Emrys couldn't help but reveal a knowing smile, feeling a sense of 'coming home'.
"Cough, cough, may I ask how you plan to solve the problem?" Although still suspicious of their origins, the current ran in the police Department left Marvin feeling overwhelmed, so he sought their help: "The entire police Department, only the lobby is safe right now; the other areas are occupied by those damned monsters!"
"Very simple."
Emrys crooked his finger and turned to Uther, saying, "Clean out the entire police Department for me. Besides the people in this lobby, I don't want to see a single living thing."
"Yes, sir."
Uther nodded, drew a dagger from his waist, and headed directly for the western iron gate.
"Wai-Wait!" Marvin's eyes widened, and he immediately stopped Uther, pointing at the dagger in his hand, somewhat incredulous: "You... you plan to use this dagger to deal with those monsters?"
"It's enough."
Uther's expression was cold; he seemed to dislike Marvin somewhat and was about to walk around him.
But he had barely taken half a step when Marvin stopped him again. He looked at Emrys once more: "You're just going to let your bodyguard use this dagger to deal with them? Those monsters are very powerful; if they bite you, you'll turn into a monster like them. This won't work!"
"Officer Marvin, please trust him."
Emrys sat down in front of the monitor, not even turning his head, his reaction calm.
Marvin still found it hard to believe, but he gritted his teeth, unholstered the firearm from his waist, and offered it: "Take it. Trust me. There are not only zombies inside but even scarier monsters!"
"No need."
Uther stepped past him, holding the dagger, and approached the half-closed rolling shutter door.
Then, with a swing of his arm, he slashed the steel rolling door, cutting it open directly. The cut was smooth, as if it had been laser-cut!
Seeing this, Marvin was stunned: "Wh-What kind of dagger is this?"
"Monomolecular cutting dagger."
Emrys explained calmly, "To put it in terms you can understand, this dagger can easily cut through tank armor. No matter what monsters are inside, I guess they're not as thick as tank armor, right?"
Sometimes, don't let the simple appearance of the Empire's weapons fool you; any one of them is genuine future technology!
For example, the bayonet at the front of the Astra Militarum's standard laser rifle, which looks backward, actually uses momolecular technology and can easily cut through Tau battlesuits.
As for modern main battle tanks, in front of this blade, they are basically like butter.
"..." Marvin's eyes widened. He felt that the information he had received today was more than in all his previous decades combined.
A dagger that can cut through 'tank' armor... Is American technology already this powerful?
"You, are you from the FBI?" Marvin could only think of this, especially given their secretive demeanor and the presence of such extraordinary technological products.
"No, we are the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division." Emrys suddenly said mischievously, "You can call us 'S.H.I.E.L.D.', specializing in handling similar incidents. From now on, you just need to sit here with me and wait for the results. Basically we're like the CIA."
"Oh."
Although Marvin didn't understand everything, he instinctively believed it.
Whether it was true or not, the name was so long he couldn't remember it anyway, so he just assumed they really were.
In the surveillance feed, Uther, wielding the monofilament cutting dagger, was like a god of slaughter. Any zombie he encountered was sliced into minced meat.
Soon, in the second-floor corridor, Uther encountered a Licker.
The monster, looking as if it had been skinned, with its brain exposed, clung to the corridor ceiling, emitting chilling growls.
"It's it, that monster!"
Marvin, seeing the 'Licker' on the monitor, screamed in terror, "It has killed many people; we can't catch it at all!"
But the next scene on the monitor almost made his eyes pop out.
The Licker had no sight; it only hunted by sound. Upon detecting the sound of Uther walking, it instantly transformed into a blood-red streak, ferociously pouncing on its prey.
However, this time, the Licker was the prey!
Its speed was fast, but unfortunately, Uther's speed was even faster. A step ahead, his hard elbow swung horizontally, smashing into the Licker's forehead.
The immense force slammed the Licker into the wall. As it shook its head, dizzy, Uther delivered another punch.
Boom!
The entire wall shattered into pieces, and the Licker's head turned directly into a pulp.
Of course, Uther did not forget his master's command, so he again wielded the monofilament cutting dagger and meticulously sliced the deceased Licker into minced meat.
Marvin was drenched in cold sweat, stepping back a few paces in fear.
He had seen brutal people before, but someone as brutal as Uther, who, after confirming the kill, still dismembered and shredded the body, was truly rare.
What if he wasn't satisfied with the killing later and came out to slice him into minced meat too?
Ding!
Suddenly, in the main hall of the police station, the telephone ringing in front of the monitoring equipment broke the eerie atmosphere.
Marvin was startled, his chaotic thoughts immediately interrupted. He then looked at Emrys hesitantly, seemingly considering whether to answer the phone.
The ringing grew more urgent.
Finally, Marvin saw that Emrys, in front of the monitor, seemed unmoved. Fearing that the ringing might attract those monsters, he quickly walked over and picked up the phone.
"Hello? This is the Raccoon City police station!"
Marvin answered the phone, immediately introducing himself.
But soon, the voice from the phone caused a slight change in his expression. He looked at Emrys strangely: "Sir it's someone from the Umbrella Corporation. They said they have something very important to discuss with you and hope you can take the call."
Marvin didn't know that the source of Raccoon City's disaster was the Umbrella Corporation on the other end of the line. Otherwise, he would have cursed them out long ago; how could he have been so polite?
It seems... Umbrella is losing its composure.
As for the reason, Emrys, as the instigator, naturally knew very well that Umbrella was afraid their secret laboratory beneath the police station would be discovered.
At that time, the charges of the T-virus leak and the creation of biological weapons would be enough to put Umbrella in a lot of trouble.
Inside the monitoring equipment, Uther was carrying out orders, having basically cleared the first and second floors, essentially doing 'Leon S. Kennedy's' job ahead of time. Presumably, in another ten minutes or so, the police station would be completely cleared.
Emrys put aside the monitoring matters and slowly walked to the phone, taking the receiver from Marvin's hand: "I'm Emrys. I guess you should have at least three things to say to me."
"Respected Mr. Emrys, your actions at the police station have affected our plans. On behalf of Umbrella's Operations Department, I hope you can evacuate the police station."
On the phone, the head of Umbrella's Operations Department spoke with a slightly forceful tone, even revealing a hint of condescension.
"That's the first thing."
Emrys leaned against the table, calmly fiddling with his fingernails: "You have two more things left to say. I hope you don't waste them on such trivial matters."
"Mr. Emrys, we are not asking for your consent, but a warning!"
The head of Umbrella's Operations Department's tone suddenly became much sterner; his angry emotions could be felt even through the phone: "We know you seem to possess some powerful android technology, but please believe me... with your power, it's impossible to contend with us!"
"That's the second thing."
Emrys felt a bit bored, and his impression of Umbrella dropped several notches again: "Honestly, your performance has really disappointed me, so much so that I feel the need to reconsider Umbrella's value."
"You will regret this, Mr. Emrys."
Apparently, the other party didn't take his words to heart, sneered, and said: "Although I'm not sure which force is truly behind you, it is with great regret that I inform you, you have touched Umbrella's taboo!"
Snap!
Emrys couldn't be bothered to listen to his nonsense anymore and directly hung up the phone.
On the other end of the phone, the head of Umbrella's Operations Department, hearing the busy signal, immediately flew into a rage, turned around, and roared: "Release all the Tyrants! Kill these two damned bastards! They must not find the secret laboratory!"
"Uh... all of them?"
The operator hesitated, cautiously asking: "Supervisor, if we release them all, what if they lose control?"
After all, those weren't just a few, but dozens of Tyrant experimental subjects. If they were all released, the problems would be huge, and without approval from above... the supervisor's actions would be tantamount to damaging the company's assets.
"I'm in charge here!"
The supervisor's face was grim, and he gritted his teeth: "Don't forget, if this guy finds the secret laboratory and exposes the company's bio-experiments, the harm will be even greater, and none of us will escape!"
This was his biggest concern.
Analyzing 'Emrys'' actions, there was no doubt that the other party was backed by a mysterious force, and their goal was Umbrella's secret experimental base in Raccoon City!
Whether the secret experiments were exposed or the experimental results were taken by the other party, these were severe consequences that their entire Operations Department could not bear!
Thinking of how the company's higher-ups dealt with such people, the supervisor shuddered. He didn't want to become an experimental subject, so he decided to burn his bridges!
"Understood, sir!"
The operator clearly understood the consequences of serious dereliction of duty and immediately remotely operated the computer, releasing the 'Tyrants' in the laboratory and implanting the target... Emrys!
However, the supervisor was still a bit uneasy.
From the data analysis of 'Nemesis' fighting Uther last time, even if all 'Tyrants' were released at once, they still didn't seem to have an absolute advantage.
After hesitating for half a second, the supervisor quietly exited the room, went to a secluded corner, and made a phone call: "Yes, the leak is out of control."
A moment later, an old voice came from the phone: "If it's uncontrollable, then simply... erase all traces, leave no evidence."
"You mean..."
The supervisor asked cautiously.
"When it's confirmed that the situation is uncontrollable, retrieve the Nemesis data and G-virus samples, then launch a miniature nuclear missile to wipe out the entire Raccoon City."
"Yes, sir."
The supervisor showed a strange smile and hung up the phone.
With this order, he no longer had to worry. Once the situation escalated beyond control, just one nuclear missile would make that damned Emrys disappear completely!
Let the evidence be forever buried in the radiation!
"Emrys? Heh heh." A sinister glint flashed in the supervisor's eyes, and he chuckled mockingly: "I don't believe it, a nuclear missile can deal with you!"
The perspective returned to the Raccoon City police station.
"Uh... you two don't seem to have had a very pleasant conversation?" Marvin was a bit terrified; that was the Umbrella Corporation, a colossal entity through and through!
"How could that be?" Emrys smiled naturally and said, "We had a very pleasant conversation, believe me... officer Marvin, the plague of Raccoon City will soon be over."
While speaking, Uther had already returned.
"Sir as you instructed, all movable organisms in the police station, except for this main hall, have been dealt with."
In just over ten minutes, Uther had massacred the zombies in the police station. Inevitably, his body was stained with sticky black blood, looking extremely terrifying.
"Officer Marvin, the rest is up to you."
Emrys patted Marvin's shoulder and slowly said: "The threats in the police station have been cleared. Next, we plan to deal with the source of this incident."
"The source? Where?!"
Upon hearing that they were going to deal with the source, Marvin volunteered.
"No need, you stay here." Emrys smiled and refused the overly righteous Marvin, hinting: "Don't forget, you still have to welcome the newcomers."
Newcomers?
Marvin was stunned for a full half-minute before he remembered the forgotten 'new' police officer, who was reportedly arriving today.
But... looking at the current police station, with only him as a 'living' colleague, was it still necessary to welcome a newcomer?
"Don't worry, everything will be fine."
Emrys comforted Marvin, then looked at Uther, pointed to the statue in the middle of the police Hall, and sneered: "Uther, smash this thing for me."
In the game, you had to run around looking for clues to solve puzzles, but in reality, who would bother with puzzles!
Violence is the most direct way to solve puzzles!
Uther smashed the statue with a few punches, revealing the elevator inside, which left Marvin dumbfounded: "In the police station... when did it have an elevator?"
"Calm down, there's a lot you don't know."
Emrys felt secretly pleased; not having to solve puzzles was indeed comfortable: "Uther, you stay in the police station and assist Marvin with the evacuation work."
"Understood, sir."
Uther nodded slightly, not questioning the order.
This was also considering that Umbrella might go to extremes and send out a few Tyrants to destroy the police station, as Leon was an employee he had pre-selected and shouldn't be lost here.
Moreover, on another note, it could also increase his prestige and favorability.
It was killing two birds with one stone.
After giving his instructions, Emrys entered the elevator alone, heading to the police station's water, where there was a direct train to the laboratory. Perhaps... he might even meet another 'employee'.
Ada Wong's image is taken from Generations 6-4; she really looks like an aunt in those.
Wading through the dirty sewers?
No, that was clearly not Emrys' style. He directly pulled out a servo-skull from his personal space.
If he had high-tech and didn't use it, wouldn't he just be asking for trouble?
The servo-skull quickly scanned the sewers, then created a model, directly marking the location of the bullet train leading to the research institute.
Then, Emrys, adhering to the principle that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, swept through with his power sword.
The blade, with its kinetic field activated, cut through walls and the disgusting G-virus larvae in the sewers more smoothly than a butter knife cutting butter.
Before long, he arrived at the bullet train, pulled open the door with his bare hands, and entered.
"Don't move."
Suddenly, a dark gun barrel was pressed against his temple.
The cold sensation made Emrys pause for half a second, his gaze then shifting to the left.
Hidden in a corner inside the carriage, extremely difficult to notice, was Ada Wong, one of the enduring goddesses of the Resident Evil series.
A sexy hip-hugging skirt perfectly outlined Ada's curvaceous figure, and her two round, toned thighs were encased in 60D black stockings, allowing a glimpse of flesh while perfectly shaping her legs—it was practically a trap for otaku.
Her neat short hair, on the contrary, highlighted Ada's heroic and valiant demeanor.
She truly lived up to her reputation as a 'goddess' that Resident Evil players remembered generation after generation; she certainly had her unique charm.
"We can do business, what do you think?"
Although he had a gun pointed at him, Emrys showed no panic. Instead, he aggressively sized up the female Agent in front of him.
"Little boy, where are you looking?" Ada, on the other hand, was intrigued. She calmly accepted his gaze, a playful smile on her lips: "To be so calm with a gun pointed at you, you're either a madman or stupidly brave."
"So, which one do you think I am?"
Emrys asked back with interest.
After a few seconds of mutual staring, Ada chuckled and voluntarily stepped back half a step, raising her hands to show she had no ill intentions: "My intuition tells me you belong to the latter. My name is Ada Wong, what should I call you? You little pervert."
"Merlin Emrys, and I need to correct you, I am a pervert."
Emrys calmly sat down, looking at Ada, a hint of playfulness in his smile: "Isn't your mission to kill me?"
"My mission is only to retrieve the 'G' virus." Ada sat beside him, her black-stockinged legs crossed, forming an alluring curve from her ample hips. Her elbow rested on her leg, propping up her chin, as she tilted her head and curiously scrutinized him: "I'm really curious, what exactly did you do to make them want to eliminate you at all costs?"
Wesker had specifically called her to inform her that Umbrella was willing to add an extra fee specifically for eliminating this target.
To be honest, she was genuinely interested and even more curious about what Emrys had done to provoke the Umbrella Corporation's nerves.
"Soon, you'll see it with your own eyes." Emrys remained unfazed, turning the topic to Ada: "Have you considered changing your partner?"
It had to be said, Ada was truly skilled at captivating hearts; every movement seemed to exude a unique charm.
But unfortunately, she met Emrys. Although it was in a dream, he had at least passed Slaanesh's six rings. This little bit of seduction was completely insufficient!
"Oh?"
Seeing that the other party didn't fall for it, Ada didn't get discouraged. She asked with interest: "Such as?"
"Me."
Emrys made no secret of his desire for Ada.
Of course, it wasn't in a physiological sense. He greatly admired Agents and ace spies like Ada Wong.
To some extent, with Ada Wong's assistance, he could save a lot of unnecessary trouble.
"My price is very high~ Can you afford it?"
Ada Wong neither showed rejection nor directly agreed, her fiery red lips slightly pursed, outlining a mysterious smile.
"You don't have to rush to refuse, you can think about it."
Emrys was not in a hurry. There would be many opportunities on this trip to the Arklay Research Facility for Ada Wong to make her choice.
Hearing this, Ada also stopped rushing, humming a tune as she looked out of the train.
The train traveled downwards for more than ten minutes, finally arriving at the Arklay Research Facility, secretly built by the Umbrella Corporation in Raccoon City.
"Heh, it seems Umbrella's welcome ceremony for me is quite grand."
As soon as the train doors opened, Emrys seemed to sense something. He turned to Ada Wong and said with a smile: "The scene that follows might be a bit bloody. If you feel uncomfortable, you can close your eyes temporarily. I don't want a beautiful lady to be splattered with that dirty blood."
Ada Wong froze for half a second, just as she was wondering what he was talking about, she saw the laboratory's iron door suddenly dent inwards!
Boom!
A huge impact sound, like a bronze chime, exploded within the empty and terrifying research facility!
Looking at the iron door, several centimeters thick, that was actually dented with fist-sized marks, Ada immediately felt a bad premonition.
The next moment, that iron door was violently flung open from the inside by an immense force, flying towards them like a cannonball, dragging an ear-splitting shriek.
Ada reacted extremely quickly, immediately hooking the ceiling with her grappling gun, suspending herself in mid-air.
That several-ton iron door was hurtling towards Emrys; she didn't even have time to warn him.
In her expectation, an iron door flying like a cannonball could easily cut a person in half, but that scene did not occur.
When the iron door approached Emrys, it was like a train suddenly brought to a halt!
Although there was no physical contact, the iron door was stopped in front of Ada as if by some invisible wall, and the terrifying impact force vanished without a trace.
Just as Ada was wondering if she was hallucinating, she saw a terrifying T-virus experimental subject, a 'Tyrant,' emerge from the passage behind the iron door. Its overly tall body, completely eroded by the virus, was wrapped in bulging muscles, and its fingers were replaced by reinforced claws that could easily tear through steel!
"Watch out, it's a Tyrant!"
Ada's well-intentioned warning had not yet finished when she suddenly felt blood hit her face!
Although the Tyrant looked massive, its movements were not slow at all. Its furious charge was astonishingly fast, reaching Emrys in almost an instant.
The claws, capable of tearing steel, were like sharp blades, whistling through the air with a fierce, cold gleam!
If this attack had been against an ordinary person, the outcome would naturally have been disembowelment.
But unfortunately, the enemy standing before the Tyrant was no ordinary person. In Emrys' deep pupils, a spark seemed to emerge.
In an instant, the temperature of the entire room plummeted by tens of degrees, as if countless wails resounded.
The Tyrant's swinging claws seemed to have been put on pause.
However, only Ada clearly understood that it was not a 'time stop,' but rather the Tyrant being firmly bound in place by some unseen force!
The Tyrant let out a muffled growl, thick veins bulging on its arms, muscles and bones making a chilling sound, as if the accelerator had been floored, tires grinding against the ground to the limit, oil pump and supercharger pushed to their maximum, yet still roaring in place like a sports car!
The ground, unable to withstand the Tyrant's exertion, cracked inch by inch, as if containing an unbearable wail of distress.
But even so, the Tyrant was still firmly suppressed by 'psionic' telekinesis, unable to move.
Looking at the T-virus experimental subject 'Tyrant' in front of him, a smile appeared on Emrys' face.
It truly was a case of finding something without searching, and getting it without effort.
He had searched the police station without finding any trace of the 'Tyrant,' and now he had encountered it as soon as he arrived at the research institute.
He sincerely had to thank the Umbrella Corporation for their gift.
Then, under Ada's horrified gaze, Emrys 'pulled out' a giant egg, half a person's height and resembling a 'flower bud,' from somewhere unknown.
"What is that thing?!"
Ada Wong's intuition told her that the giant egg was very dangerous!
"Soon, you'll know."
Emrys chuckled, activating the 'alien embryo.'
The next second, the embryo 'blossomed like petals,' and the dormant 'facehugger' awakened. Its first reaction was 'parasitism.'
The first-generation 'facehugger' was far less terrifying than later generations, more like an 'octopus.' Using its strong tentacles, it firmly trapped the Tyrant, then attached its suckers.
"Roar—!!!"
From a biological instinct level, the Tyrant sensed the horror of that 'thing' and struggled desperately!
"Be good, don't move."
Emrys' eyes slightly chilled, and his telekinetic power suddenly increased, suppressing the 'Tyrant' once again.
Finally, the 'facehugger' firmly attached its suckers to the Tyrant's oral cavity, its four tentacles tightly wrapped around its head to prevent it from breaking free during the parasitic process.
A tubular ovipositor directly inserted into the Tyrant's throat, injecting the 'egg' into its body.
Such a horrifying scene, even Ada, who prided herself on being well-traveled, was startled and felt uncomfortable all over.
Especially when she saw that 'tube' insert into the Tyrant's mouth, and then some kind of substance gradually injected into the Tyrant's body until the 'exoskeleton' completely shriveled and fell off, and the Tyrant's abdomen swelled as if pregnant—Ada couldn't help but feel a chill down her spine.
"What exactly is this thing?!"
Ada's fear was mixed with a trace of trepidation, her pupils contracted to pinpricks.
"You can understand it as a completely new life form."
Emrys watched the successfully 'parasitized' Tyrant, saying calmly: "Aren't you curious about what interesting things will happen next?"
In his opinion, the greatest value of the Resident Evil world lay in those 'viruses.'
Whether it was 'black water' or 'alien,' both possessed unparalleled growth potential, and viruses could serve as carriers to give birth to entirely new species.
He believed that by fusing various viruses, a completely new 'alien' could be created!
After witnessing Emrys' completely incomprehensible actions, Ada suddenly felt a pang of regret.
She shouldn't have gotten involved in Umbrella's murky business because of 'curiosity' and that small reward; now it was too late to escape.
As an ace spy and Agent, Ada knew very well what it meant for her to see this scene.
The other party would never let her leave easily, after all, that egg, named 'alien,' didn't look like a product of Earth from any angle.
Combined with the previous incident where the Tyrant was restrained by an invisible force, and Emrys 'conjuring' a half-human-sized egg out of thin air.
In an instant, a terrifying guess popped into Ada's mind.
Emrys is not human!
After eliminating all impossible results, the remaining conclusion, no matter how absurd it seemed, was very likely the 'truth'!
At this moment, Ada wished she could kill 'Wesker'; if it weren't for that bastard, would she have run into an 'alien'?
Yes, Emrys Merlin had already been identified as an alien in Ada Wong's eyes.
Either that or a superhuman; in any case, he was someone she couldn't afford to provoke.
Noticing Ada's tense emotions, Emrys was relatively relaxed, dragging the Tyrant's head with his telekinesis like a dead dog, walking deeper into the research facility.
When he reached the door, he realized Ada hadn't followed and turned to look at her: "Come on, don't you want the G-virus sample?"
"How did you know I came for the G-virus sample?!"
Ada's face turned pale with shock; this time, she was truly scared, staring at him in horror: "You can't read minds, can you?"
"Relax, I can't read minds." Emrys shook his head very humbly; mind-reading was for psychic ability users, and he was a telekinetic.
However, this outward appearance, in Ada's eyes, was full of deception, especially for an Agent, who was almost overcome with paranoia.
"Can you or can't you read minds?"
Ada was about to be driven crazy by this guy; she always felt that her inner thoughts were completely exposed in front of Emrys.
For an Agent, this was like being stripped naked and left out in the Sun; it was agonizing!
"Guess ~"
Emrys laughed loudly; seeing Ada's rare moment of frustration truly made him happy.
"Forget it, I won't ask." Ada finally gave up, looking resigned, her beautiful eyes glancing at the 'Tyrant' being dragged, her eyebrows furrowed, feeling a physiological discomfort: "What are you doing with this disgusting thing?"
"We can't just leave it outside, can we?"
Emrys replied indifferently without looking back: "If we really leave it outside, what breaks out in Raccoon City later won't just be a zombie horde."
His words, laden with meaning, sent shivers down Ada's spine, her pupils suddenly contracting: "You mean, that thing spreads faster than the T-virus?"
"Hmm, not quite." Emrys chuckled, shaking his head; if the alien spread as fast as the T-virus, that would be a bit too terrifying, perhaps the 'Benevolent Father' would truly arrive.
"Don't be so impatient, Ada." He said meaningfully: "Before long, you'll witness the birth of a brand new species with your own eyes."
The more he spoke, the stronger Ada's unease grew.
Oh no, this guy isn't really going to cause a bigger mess than the T-virus, is he?
The two quickly passed through the living area of the research facility and reached the cylindrical structure in the central area; however, access to the other two areas was remotely locked by Umbrella.
"It looks like we need to go back." Ada immediately saw through the trick and said: "We must get a Level 3 access bracelet to connect the escalator to the research area."
"No need, it's too much trouble."
Emrys decisively refused; he hated decryption processes the most, so he looked Ada up and down: "How much do you weigh?"
"You're not planning..." Ada's left eyelid twitched wildly, and a strong sense of foreboding suddenly emerged.
"Forget it, asking is useless."
As he spoke, telekinesis surged out like a tide, enveloping Ada, who was full of panic.
"Wait, wait. I have other ways!"
Ada's face turned pale with fright; she had experienced many major situations, but being thrown like this... it was truly her first time!
If possible, she would rather go find the access bracelet.
But unfortunately, Emrys didn't give her any room to refuse, roughly aiming: "Hold on tight, I hope you don't get motion sickness, have a pleasant journey, Miss Ada ~"
Then, before Ada could refuse, her entire body was launched into the air like a catapult!
Whoosh—!
The strong wind hit, and Ada's heart rate soared to 180!
Seeing that she was about to get close, she decisively fired her grappling gun, pulling herself onto the platform.
After a graceful flip and landing, Ada's face was flushed, and her breathing was rapid, not from strenuous exercise, but purely because it was too stimulating.
"See, didn't we make it?" Emrys landed slowly beside her, even dragging the 'Tyrant,' his nonchalant demeanor immediately made veins pop out on Ada's forehead.
"If you can drag this thing over, can't you be gentler with me?" Ada glared at him, gritting her teeth, full of resentment.
"You didn't say so earlier; I thought you liked it more exciting ~"
Emrys dragged the Tyrant with his telekinesis, striding towards the most important G-virus research area of the Arklay Laboratory.
Furious, Ada wished she could shoot this guy twice from behind to vent her anger.
But considering the difference in their strengths, this thought was quickly extinguished, and Ada could only glare at the figure in front of her, following him in her high heels.
As soon as she entered the laboratory, she saw a woman in a hurry, about to escape.
"Stop!"
Ada's eyes flickered, and she immediately drew her gun, aiming at the woman who was about to flee.
With a gun pointed at her, the woman's steps suddenly stopped, then she stiffly turned around, with a hint of anger in her eyes.
"Hello, Dr. Anette Birkin." Ada exposed the other party's identity in one go, but her gaze fell on Emrys next to her for half a second before turning to Anette Birkin: "You should know why I'm here; hand over the G-virus sample you have, and I can let you go."
Anette Birkin, along with her husband William Birkin, jointly developed the G-virus project, and William was also the direct culprit of the T-virus leak in Raccoon City.
Umbrella attempted to seize the couple's research results, the G-virus, so they dispatched the God of Death squad, but unexpectedly, William injected himself with the G-virus sample before his death, going berserk and killing almost all members of the God of Death squad, ultimately leading to the T-virus leaking into the sewers.
Anette remained in the laboratory, her purpose being to protect the G-virus from being taken by Umbrella.
"You want the G-virus sample?"
Anette sneered, her gaze flickering, as if searching for something.
"Why bother, Dr. Birkin?" Ada continued to persuade kindly: "For a virus, your husband is already gone; do you still want to sacrifice yourself and your child too?"
"Don't dream, Umbrella's running dog!"
Anette's blood vessels bulged on her forehead, glaring at her with resentment: "Even if I die, I will not hand over the G-virus to you!"
The G-virus represented the culmination of her and her husband's efforts; she might not care about William or Sherry, but she definitely cared about the G-virus research results!
To describe Anette in this state with another adjective, it would probably be 'completely obsessed.'
However, Anette never expected that Ada's next sentence would almost make her jaw drop.
"Who told you I was with Umbrella?"
Ada raised an eyebrow, her fiery red lips curving slightly upwards, her beautiful eyes glancing at Emrys next to her: "Sorry, all that you mentioned is in the past tense. Just fifteen minutes ago, I already had a new boss. Let me introduce him. His name is Emrys Merlin!"
