Alabantinos' Secret Diary.
"So this really was here…" Alan murmured.
Then his gaze shifted to the second item."But what about this cloak?"
The moment he inspected it, his expression froze.
"…This?"
His eyes widened slightly.
"If you like it, you may have it," the Queen said softly. "It was left behind anyway."
Alan accepted the cloak without hesitation."Thank you," he said sincerely.
The Queen smiled."No. It is we who should thank you. Now we can return to our homeland, free from this war and its suffering."
Alan nodded, storing both items away.
"I wish you luck, then," Alan said.
The Snow Lizardman Queen smiled, and the others waved as he turned and left.
Soon after, Alan returned to the Frontier City of North. He rented a room at an inn, washed away the blood and frost, and finally sat down in silence. Only then did he take out Alabantinos' Secret Diary.
The moment he opened it, pale runes surfaced from the pages and flowed into his hands.
[ You have learned Magic Rune Smithing ]
[ You can now actively engrave runes onto the items you create ]
[ Alabantinos, during his quest to create a legendary item, learned this art from a famous magic item craftsman. ]
"Magic smithing, huh… good," Alan muttered, nodding in satisfaction.
Next was the unexpected item.

"This is the best cloak I could possibly have," Alan murmured, staring at its overwhelming attributes.
Alan then checked Brynrk's Greatsword.
It was a decent Unique-grade weapon, but not impressive enough for him to use. Without hesitation, he placed it in his private auction, restricted to the Tzedkah Guild.
Next, Alan examined the Rune of Predation to see what new ability it had absorbed.

Alan's lips curved into a faint smile.
A high-risk, high-reward ability—perfectly fitting for a tyrant's power.
"Though it's not a skill I can use anytime I want… it will need perfect timing," Alan muttered.
He then looked at the skill book dropped by Brynrk.

"Whoa… this is a very good skill," Alan said with a grin.
Without hesitation, he learned it on the spot.
"Okay, that one's done too," Alan muttered as he stood up.
"Now all I need is to create the 100 Unique-rank weapons."
"But before that… it's time to create my first Guardian."
He opened his inventory, eyes sweeping over the materials he had accumulated so far.
[ Available Bodies ]
Vampire Baron ×3
Malacus (Dark Priest)
Brynrk (Half-Dragon)
[ Soul Essences ]
Mumud Soul Essence
Braham Soul Essence
Tiramet Soul Essence
Malacus Soul Essence
Brynrk Soul Essence
Vampire Baron Soul Essence ×14
"I've got good bodies… and powerful soul essences," Alan murmured.
"With these, I can make a Priest-type Guardian, a Tank, or even a hybrid."
He frowned slightly.
"This first Guardian will define everything that comes after. I can't mess it up."
Alan closed the screen slowly.
"I should gather more materials before deciding," he said calmly.
"I have a feeling my first Guardian needs to be… exceptional."
"And I still have one more thing to do…"
Alan sighed as he looked at Dainsleif.
After the battle with Brynrk and the Snow Lizardmen, the sword had finally crossed the threshold—it had become Legendary.
Yet…
It doesn't end there.
"…But what does this mean?" Alan murmured.
