Both Hunter and Hannah turned to look at Claire.
"What did you just call me?''
"Don't make me regret saying that. "
"Claire knows me too well, Hunter. I came to tell her something. "
"What is it?"
"Mr. Garrick has setup the meeting for the Southeastern project at the Gismo Golf club."
"Then we will just leave. Let me go change. "
"I'm being left in this house all by myself. That is very wonderful."
"Claire you are supposed to have a plus one there and your father might be there, so you will be carrying him. "
"What?"
"At least you have someone you can go with. I don't have anyone that I can go with. "
"I can ask Roy to go with you. "
"Can you do that for me. "
"Yeah. Let me ask him. "
"As you do that, I will go and change. "
"What is that smell? " Hannah asked looking around.
"It's just some pancakes and coffee. Claire said she doesn't want them. You can have them. "
"Thank you. "
Hunter took his phone and went to consult Roy. Back in the dining room. Hannah had gone to take what Hunter had told him was there to eat. Claire followed her to see what she was up to.
"What do you want to do?"
"I want to eat whatever you refused to take. "
"He made it for me. Not for us, unfortunately."
"I heard you tell him that you didn't want to eat his food and that you had eaten already. "
Claire didn't even listen to her and sat there and started eating. The food she ate was very delicious. Hannah snatched one pancake and ate it. Hunter came back and saw them eating.
"I thought you said you were no hungry."
"I decided to have a taste of your cooking."
"It's good. From now, you will be handling my meals. "
"What's in for me?"
"I will pay you."
"Deal. Roy has agreed to go with you. "
"I knew I would count on you. I will meet you guys at the golf club. "
Hannah leaves first. Once Hannah leaves, Hunter runs to the bedroom and changes into a light-blue polo shirt and a pair of white khaki trousers. He went to the dining room and found that she had finished all the pancakes.
"I thought you said you had already eaten. "
"I didn't specify the time that I had eaten. I'm feeling like my IQ is being lowered once again. "
Claire scoffed at him and went to change too. Hunter waited for her to come down. She came down later wearing a light-blue crop top and a white tennis skirt. Hunter looked at her as she came down the stairs.
"You are always staring at me. I already know that I am very beautiful. "
"Who said I was staring at you?"
"Your eyes. "
"Your eyes can't lie. That is a fact. "
"I was looking at how your clothes and mine were a match. Why don't you change that crop top to a simple shirt. "
"I am not changing my clothes. "
"It will be more appropriate. Don't you think so. "
