Hunter's phone rang . He picked it up almost immediately. It was Asher , his girlfriend.
Hunter , " I'm getting paid today maybe we can ... "
A man's voice came out " hey man Asher doesn't want you anymore. She has asked me to tell you that she is officially breaking up with you. "
"That's not true . I want to hear it from the horse's mouth. "
"Whether you like it or not you guys are breaking up . "
" Who are you talking to ?" Asher's voice came up .
"Your loser ex boyfriend. I told him that you are breaking up but he is not believing me . He says he wants to hear from you. "
" Look Hunter, it's better if we break up."
"Why ? "
"Do I need a reason to break up with you. Maybe it's because you are a loser as Mickey here is saying. "
"Fine . If you want us to break up then fine . "
He then hang up .
After hanging up , he felt someone tapping him . He looked back and saw his boss there . He stood up and bowed a bit .
"Miss Phillips...."
"I hope you do know that the company's policy states that phones should not be used during working hours. Do you ?"
"I know that . "
" I'll deduct 1000$ from your salary. Hunter Stevens"
"Yes miss ."
She left and the sound of her high heels clicking on the cold floor. After she left , he sat down with a heavy sigh and whispered to himself. If only this day didn't get any worse .
After the day ended he went to the parking lot only to find his motorcycle tyres have been punctured. He cursed inwardly and then had to drag it to the mechanic .
Miss Phillips, Claire Phillips, was a cold CEO and was known for her coldness. She has gone back home to find her parents sitting in the sitting room.
"How was work today?" Her mom asked thoughtfully.
"Ok ."
"Ok , why don't you tell your mother about the board asking you to get married." Her father said .
"If they want to get married then let them be married. "
"Fine then I'll remove you as the CEO and I'll go back being the CEO until you decide to get married. I've already picked out for you people who you can be your blind dates . "Her father said.
"Dad I thought you have always told me to be honest. "
"Why?"
"I'm seeing someone."
"I don't believe it . "
"Whether you believe it or not, it's you who is going to pick either believing or not. As a matter of fact I'm going to meet him now ."
She leaves
"Is she serious about having a boyfriend. ?" Mrs Phillips asked her husband.
"Whether it's true or not I'll make sure that it will come true ."
