The revised draft did not make it to the Sairren council before the Light Tree interrupted.
Martin was still at Forest Hidden when Rangar found him outside Spring Kitchen with Alexandra and Kumoe.
Rangar barely slowed. "The Tree is manifesting."
Martin turned toward him. "Now?"
"Unless there's another translucent woman made of golden light walking toward the Forest Table."
Alexandra was already standing, and Kumoe rose with her. Martin followed Rangar toward the meeting space.
They reached the Forest Table with half the elders already gathered around it. Warm gold moved through the roots beneath their feet, gathering where several thick roots met near the edge of the meeting space.
