Chapter 15 - He's Threatening Me!

While walking along the railing, Lu Yang suddenly stopped and exhaled deeply.

The girl and her entourage behind her saw the perfect opportunity and all lunged forward.

Just as they were about to pounce, Lu Yang did something that made everyone scream in shock.

He ran.

Deciding not to be pulled down from the railing, he sprinted. Step after step, his feet pressed against the railing, as if the metal itself was part of him.

If his mind had been a calm pond just moments ago, now it burned like wildfire.

The faster he ran, the faster his heart beat, adrenaline skyrocketing, completely erasing any fear.

Running along the rooftop railing, sunlight washed over the boy, filling him with life and energy.

Everyone—students and teachers on the rooftop and in the practice field—gaped in disbelief.

They were still stunned by the sheer danger of what he was doing, yet could not help feel an indescribable thrill deep in their hearts.

Walked 99 meters.

Walked 100 meters.

A voice sounded in his ear:

[ Physical mission completed ]

Hearing that he had finished the mission, Lu Yang leapt into the air.

Of course, he leapt toward the sky, aiming for the roof.

He exerted all his strength not to die in vain but to triumph.

Landing on the ground, Lu Yang rolled and immediately stood, only to be restrained—one on his left, one on his right—by Jiang Hai and Yuan Huihong.

"Look at me! Ha! Master lock him down!" Yuan Huihong gritted his teeth, standing with his muscles tensed, locking Lu Yang firmly.

"Hey! What are you two doing?" Lu Yang said, confused.

"Didn't you just do something completely reckless? And you ask what we're doing? Look! Our lock is stronger than seven layers of metal!" Jiang Hai, infuriated, bared his teeth and tightened his grip.

The two of them held Lu Yang so tightly that he couldn't move a single limb, leaving him no choice but to laugh wryly on the spot.

At that moment, the tall young girl strode forward, her face full of anger.

"Lu Yang!" she called, stopping in front of him.

Even with Jiang Hai and Yuan Huihong restraining him, her presence commanded attention.

Students on the rooftop began to murmur loudly.

After all, they knew that Lu Yang had risked his life to walk the rooftop because of this girl.

"Do you think doing something like this would attract my attention? You must be crazy!" Her eyes glared at him, her words icy.

Thankfully, Lu Yang had always been confident in his verbal skills. Even against Ye Kener, he had never feared speaking boldly; now, facing her, he was unfazed.

"Who the hell are you? Do I even know you?" Lu Yang asked boldly.

The girl froze.

Earlier, he had grovelled at her, chased her in a taxi—yet now he claimed not to know her.

If this were just bluster, maybe it would work, but the expression on his face was utterly sincere.

She had never seen Lu Yang make such a face before.

"Enough! Take him to my office! And all of you, clear out!" A few school security guards rushed onto the rooftop, and under Yan Gao's strict supervision, began issuing orders.

His presence alone sent the students fleeing the rooftop.

Lu Yang, however, was taken to Yan Gao's office.

If the students were to vote on who's office they least wanted to enter, Yan Gao would definitely top the list.

Every student who entered his office left feeling like their skin had been peeled.

"This time, Lu Yang is finished," Yuan Huihong sighed, watching the office opposite of the teaching building.

He didn't dare stand near the office door—only observing from afar.

"Ah, this time he really did something I don't understand. I wonder how Yan Gao will deal with him," Jiang Hai said, shaking his head.

Yet inside Yan Gao's office, Lu Yang remained calm.

Adrenaline still coursed through his veins; completing the physical mission had left his body exhilarated.

"In recent years, I've dealt with so many troublemaking students. I've suspended countless of them, yet you dare do this in front of me?" Yan Gao's sharp eyes scanned Lu Yang from head to toe, like a predator surveying its prey.

"You were the one who stole my belt last time, and those two kids too. Otherwise, how could the rooftop door be unlocked?"

The previous rooftop incident immediately came to mind. Finally, he had caught the ringleader—this time, he would exact revenge.

Yet Lu Yang didn't feel the slightest pressure from Yan Gao's stare.

His gaze fixed on a pack of cigarettes on the table.

Though not a smoker, he decided to take one.

Calmly, he took a cigarette from the pack and lit it.

"Hoo~"

Smoke spiraled into the air, making him squint in pleasure.

His actions fully provoked Yan Gao. Normally, students would hide when smoking on campus, and no one dared smoke in front of him.

"Immediately! Bring your parents here! This time I'm making sure you get suspended!" Yan Gao's voice was filled with authority and rage.

Lu Yang, in contrast, exhaled a leisurely puff of smoke. "You really want me to call them? That's gonna be difficult because I'm an orphan."

Yan Gao's instincts screamed to punish him, but his rational mind paused to verify.

Records could be checked—using the computer, he confirmed Lu Yang was indeed an orphan.

His face turned pale.

"Don't you have two accomplices? Go get them!" Yan Gao instructed, asking for Jiang Hai and Yuan Huihong.

Lu Yang exhaled another puff of smoke, his expression nonchalant.

"Teacher, I'm not feeling very stable mentally. Earlier, when I came down from the rooftop, I almost did something stupid."

Hearing this, Yan Gao almost fell over in anger.

This kid had the audacity to threaten him!

How could someone so mentally unstable stomp on the railing and run back and forth like that?

"Do you really think I won't discipline you?" Yan Gao barked.

"Ah, Teacher, I'm just introverted. I like hiding online, and I tend to do everything passively, just looking for a bit of comfort," Lu Yang replied, blowing out a puff of smoke with an innocent expression.
