Chapter 11 - Page 11

"Amazing! She did it!"

"Well done, Spider-Woman!"

"Unbelievable… truly incredible!"

Suddenly, loud cheers erupted from below, interrupting all of it.

Just moments ago, the wreckage of the first destroyed helicopter—carrying two surviving passengers—was about to crash to the ground.

When everyone thought the tragedy was unavoidable…

A silver-white strand of web shot down from the sky.

An elegant, beautiful figure emerged from the darkness, descending like an angel.

The survivors had been successfully rescued from the wreckage.

Then, she managed to save survivors from the second crashing helicopter, and none were seriously injured.

This time, every police officer witnessing the scene couldn't help but cheer from the heart.

In that moment, in all the officers' eyes, the man in the tattered Spider suit was no longer a chaos-bringing criminal.

He was a hero in the midst of crisis, saving lives in peril!

"My dearest Gwen and Helen… my greatest regret is not being able to see you in my final moments. I am truly sorry…"

Only dozens of meters above the ground, Commissioner George Stacy could only silently apologize to his wife and daughter.

BOOM!

Suddenly, a voice interrupted George's thoughts.

He opened his eyes and saw a familiar figure.

The Spider-Woman he had been struggling to catch somehow appeared inside the cabin just as it was about to crash.

"Stop right there! Don't move, or I'll shoot!"

Commissioner Stacy, barely hesitating, drew his gun and aimed at the figure.

Yet, the person didn't seem to hear his warning at all.

She smashed through the cabin windows on both sides, shooting web strands toward nearby buildings.

Then, she inverted herself, pressing her long legs against the cabin roof.

Instantly, the rapidly falling cabin slowed, restrained by an incredible force.

When it was less than ten meters from the ground, it finally came to a complete stop.

Inside the cabin, although the sudden halt made everyone unsteady on their feet, Stacy never lowered his gun; it remained aimed at the Spider-Woman attempting to save them.

"You all need to get out of here. I can't hold on much longer."

Only after the cabin was fully stable did Gwen speak anxiously, her hands bleeding from tightly gripping her webs.

Meanwhile, other officers below placed soft padding on the floor to cushion the cabin's landing.

"You go first."

"And you, Commissioner?"

All inside the cabin were safely rescued after landing, yet George Stacy seemed unwilling to leave immediately.

"Today, I want to see the face beneath that mask."

George slowly approached Gwen. She could no longer move; he prepared to remove her mask.

However, just as his hand reached for it, he suddenly stopped.

"Hey, looks like you need some help!"

As George hesitated, a voice came from nearby.

At the same time, Gwen felt the cabin suddenly lose weight and swiftly rolled toward the shore, evading George's hand.

Looking toward the voice, they saw a figure in a red cloak floating outside the cabin, effortlessly holding it up with one hand—something Gwen had been struggling to do herself.

Chapter Thirteen: Unveiling the True Flying Superhuman!

The figure seemed to defy gravity, a strong yet light body hovering in midair.

Gwen and the seasoned Commissioner Stacy were both stunned.

Humans cannot fly without external equipment.

Even a three-year-old knows that.

Yet the scene before them completely upended their worldview.

"You… who are you?"

After a shocking silence, George Stacy finally reacted, pointing his gun at the figure.

Perhaps only his gun could dispel his fear of the unknown and give him a small sense of control.

"I suggest you put that thing down. I'm not used to being threatened with it. Besides, it poses no danger to me."

Peter slowly lowered the nearly ten-ton cabin to the ground with one hand, his voice calm and cold.

Sensing the indifference in the mysterious man's tone, Stacy reluctantly lowered his gun, sincerely saying:

"Alright… I apologize."

"Is this really the stubborn father who would rather get hurt than reveal himself?"

Seeing his actions, Gwen felt extreme injustice.

If George knew what she was thinking, he could only say: "I may be stubborn, but I am not foolish. Do you think someone like her would be scared by a broken handgun?"

BANG!

Peter reached the ground, casually placing the cabin down.

Yet the next moment, officers lying in ambush quickly surrounded them.

Some looked utterly incredulous.

Some were curious about his biofield-covered face.

Several officers nervously aimed their guns.

"Put down all weapons!"

As Stacy exited the cabin, he immediately ordered the surrounding officers to lower their guns.

"Sir…"

Stacy lifted his head, gazing at the hovering figure at a 45-degree angle, carefully choosing his words.

Then he continued slowly:

"Are you… a mutant? A superhuman? Or an alien?"

"Or… God?"

In truth, George had another suspicion in his mind but didn't voice it.

"What do you think?"

Peter looked down at everyone below, including someone trying to slip away, his deep, authoritative voice echoing through the room.

WHOOSH!

Next, to everyone's astonishment, he rose hundreds of meters into the sky, a parabolic shockwave forming around him.

BOOM!

Two seconds later, a sonic boom reverberated through everyone's ears, confirming this was no illusion.

"I know… he's Superman! The one from the comics…"

After a moment of silence, a shout suddenly broke out.

Chaos erupted among the crowd.

Comics had become reality—what could be more incredible than this?

"Commissioner, Spider-Woman is missing!"

Just as everyone struggled to comprehend the scene, one officer rescued by Gwen and Commissioner Stacy ran up to report.

"I understand."

Stacy's gaze remained fixed on the figure that had already vanished into the sky; he spoke without turning his head:

"Our operation yielded almost nothing, yet we suffered losses—especially three helicopters destroyed."

"Thanks to Spider-Woman, no one died. Only a few officers were injured. So… shouldn't we…"

After briefly describing the operation's losses, the officer hesitated, as if afraid to voice his thoughts.

Meanwhile, other officers who witnessed Spider-Woman's heroic rescues looked to Stacy expectantly.

"In that case, we will revoke the arrest warrant for Spider-Woman."

"Yes! The director is amazing!"

The officers applauded immediately, especially the survivors Spider-Woman had just saved.

"Alright, issue a new warrant—pursue the other troublemaker in the city."

George slowly lowered his hands, silencing the excited crowd, and gave a new directive.

"Furthermore, everyone present must keep strictly confidential what just occurred."

At that moment, Stacy's face became serious.

"Now, everyone, clear the scene and restore order as quickly as possible."

After giving his final instructions, Commissioner Stacy departed.

"Sir, should we dispatch a helicopter to take you back to rest?"
