Roar!

With a furious roar, the green giant seemed to unleash all the power within his body in an instant, hoisting up a section of the cross-sea bridge weighing over a thousand tons.

Then—he smashed it straight into Peter in midair!

Chapter 30: Humanity Looks Up

Because of the green giant's appearance, countless vehicles on the bridge were forced to come to a halt.

Some drivers failed to brake in time, resulting in a chain of rear-end collisions.

"What's going on up there? Was there an accident?"

On the jammed roadway, countless pedestrians stepped out of their cars and looked ahead.

"Run! There's a monster on the bridge!"

The next moment, screams and panicked crowds answered their question.

"My God—what on earth is that?!"

When everyone watched the entire bridge slowly rise into the air, shock filled their eyes.

"Unbelievable… that monster actually lifted a bridge."

As soon as the media learned that a monster had appeared in New York, they immediately dispatched reporters to the scene.

At that moment, reporters sat inside helicopters, cameras rolling, recording everything happening on the bridge.

"This is unbelievable! Just how powerful is that monster?"

Viewers watching the broadcast were utterly stunned by the creature's strength.

"No matter how strong that monster is, it can never defeat Superman!"

Among them were many of Peter's most loyal supporters.

Carrying a bridge deck weighing several thousand tons, the green giant tore through the sky at high speed, generating violent gusts of wind.

The raging wind howled as the massive bridge crashed down, burying Peter in midair.

"The angrier this thing gets, the stronger it seems to become."

At that moment, as the green giant unleashed such terrifying power, the relaxed expression on Peter's face finally faded, replaced by seriousness.

In its normal state, with its current strength, the green giant could easily crush them.

But if it truly grew stronger with rage—and its power had no upper limit—then Peter had to be cautious.

After all, Peter remembered that in the comics, the Hulk had the power to destroy the Earth.

"As a superhero, protecting my Earth is my responsibility!"

In an instant, facing the green giant swinging the massive bridge toward him, Peter's eyes flashed with crimson light.

Zzzzt—!

Heat vision erupted, accompanied by searing temperatures and tremendous force, slicing through the air like an incomparably sharp light blade, carving a path forward.

Even the solid steel-and-concrete bridge now seemed no tougher than tofu.

Peter swiftly cut the entire bridge apart.

Possessing a godlike body, he plunged straight toward the green giant below.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Countless massive fragments crashed down onto the bridge, causing the entire structure to shake violently.

In just a few seconds, the thousand-ton bridge had been chopped into short segments.

At that moment, Peter finally reached the green giant.

The sharp, blazing gaze in his eyes locked straight onto the monster's face.

At the same time, he swung his right fist and smashed it into the green giant's body.

Zzzzt—!

Having learned from earlier exchanges, the green giant reacted quickly.

First, he crossed his upper pair of arms in front of his chest to block Peter's burning gaze.

Then, with the other two arms, he caught Peter's incoming punch.

After successfully stopping the attack, he grabbed Peter's arms tightly.

He pulled outward with brute force, trying to overpower Peter—attempting to rip his arms clean off.

"Oh no! Superman's been caught by the monster!"

"Can our Superman overcome this crisis and defeat the monster? Let's cheer for him!"

The reporter, hovering high above in a helicopter, continued to fulfill his duty without hesitation.

Yet his expression betrayed deep concern for the restrained Superman.

"Go, Superman! You're the strongest!"

"Go! Justice will defeat evil!"

Sometimes, the line between justice and evil isn't so clear.

Compared to the hideous green giant, although Superman had previously been arrogant and selfish, rarely helping others—

At this moment, he undeniably represented true justice.

"Did you think I didn't know you were trying to suppress me completely by using power several times greater than mine?"

"The reason I gave up my aerial advantage and chose close combat…"

"…is because my current strength far surpasses yours!"

Thinking of the system notification that had just sounded, a smile slowly appeared on Peter's face.

[Congratulations, Host! Your 'Super Ability' has successfully awakened…]

Hah!

At first, the green giant held the advantage in raw strength, all four arms firmly restraining Peter.

But now, the situation had reversed.

Suddenly, the monster sensed an unparalleled, terrifying power erupting from the small human before him.

Almost simultaneously, an irresistible force surged through the arms gripping Peter.

"Aaagh!"

That overwhelming strength tore the green giant's arms clean off his body, thick green blood spraying instantly.

"You need to calm down."

Peter effortlessly ripped off the giant's arms, then grabbed him by the neck and hurled him straight into the sky.

"My God! They've broken through the atmosphere! Unfortunately, our cameras can't capture them anymore!"

Watching a man and a monster vanish into the sky, the helicopter reporter showed a hint of regret.

"But Superman is our hero—he saved all of New York…"

"Haha! Good thing I brought binoculars."

Seeing Superman disappear from television screens, a New York astronomy enthusiast excitedly ran onto his balcony.

Unfortunately, he celebrated too soon.

With an astronomical telescope, spotting such tiny figures in the vast universe was nearly impossible.

Disappointed, he returned indoors to check other news channels for updates.

Suddenly, a new message popped up in his astronomy group chat.

"Everyone—look at the moon…"

"General Ross, they've already left the city. Should we launch a nuclear missile to completely eliminate that terrifying monster? And that other one… my God."

At this moment, a secret video conference—attended only by top military officials and high-ranking politicians—was underway.

A well-dressed politician slowly spoke, presenting his proposal to General Ross.

In truth, whether it was the terrifying monster or the godlike Superman—

Both had become a sword of Damocles hanging over the heads of every government official.

They never knew when that blade might suddenly fall.

Given such a rare opportunity to eliminate both, how could they not be tempted?

"Mr. Vice President, your proposal is childish."

"Superman's speed far exceeds any aircraft we know of."

"Even a nuclear missile wouldn't be able to catch him. Besides, our Superman isn't a comic-book character willing to endure nuclear bombardment for humanity's sake."

"Moreover, our nuclear weapons might not even be able to harm him."

"According to satellite surveillance, they are about to land on the Moon."

As a soldier, General Ross understood Superman's power better than anyone.

Especially a cold, ruthless Superman with no moral restraints.

That was nothing less than a god walking among humans.

"Mr. Vice President, I expect you to submit your resignation to Congress tomorrow."

"You are unfit to hold this position if this is how you treat our hero."
