"According to him, the huge crater that suddenly appeared on the Moon was not caused by a meteorite impact, but rather…"

Ding—

As the class bell rang, the classroom gradually quieted down and a teacher walked in.

"Today, in our first ideological education class of the semester, we won't talk about the old-fashioned Captain America spirit. Instead, we'll talk about the selfless dedication and extraordinary courage shown when facing monsters!"

In the first few days of the new semester, the school always arranged an ideological education class.

Peter never imagined that this course—usually centered around Captain America—would turn into a lecture about himself.

"Well… this is interesting. I actually have to believe in myself."

Peter closed his eyes and rested for a while. After school, he finally returned home.

Late at night, after Uncle Ben and Aunt May had fallen asleep,

he leaped out of the window, instantly accelerating as he flew toward the Antarctic "research base."

Peter quickly arrived in Antarctica.

Bustling.

He lifted the heavy iron gate with one hand and flew inside.

He casually placed the food, water, daily necessities, and some essential experimental equipment he had brought into the storage room.

Then Peter walked toward the research laboratory.

"Great! We finally succeeded!"

As Peter reached the nanotechnology lab, excited exclamations came from inside.

He quickly entered the lab, his eyes immediately drawn to a strange substance inside a transparent glass container. It was pitch-black, looking like a pool of viscous liquid.

It was writhing inside the container.

At this moment, almost all the researchers in the base were gathered in the laboratory.

As the nanometal particles inside the glass container squirmed, twisted, deformed, and recombined in response to the commands from the tablet in Reed's hand, an expression of extreme excitement appeared on Reed's face.

Because they all knew this meant their research direction was correct.

And that also meant they were one step closer to leaving this godforsaken place.

"Heh, our Superman arrives just in time."

Tony, lounging on the sofa, was the first to notice Peter entering the lab.

"Mr. Superman, could you bring us some better red wine next time? Something like what I have in my villa's wine cellar. I really can't get used to this cheap stuff."

Tony sat on the sofa, holding a glass of red wine, looking at Peter expectantly as he made his request.

In fact, aside from losing their freedom, their life here wasn't much different from a vacation.

After a period of preparation, the environment here had improved significantly compared to the beginning.

Moreover, Tony knew Peter's personality well. As long as the research proceeded smoothly, Peter would usually satisfy their requests—so long as they weren't excessive.

Peter glanced indifferently at Tony on the sofa, then walked straight up to Reed and calmly asked,

"I heard you've made a breakthrough?"

"That's right. Based on Dr. Zhao's regenerative cradle concept and Princess Shuri's research data on nanomaterials, we've successfully created nanomaterials that can be controlled by humans."

"However, this can only be considered an initial success."

Reed no longer looked as fearful as before when facing Peter.

Instead, a trace of excitement shone in his eyes as he spoke of his research results.

For scientists, nothing was more thrilling than a successful experiment.

"Mr. Superman, please look…"

As he spoke, Reed gestured for Peter to look at the nanomaterials inside the glass container.

He then operated the controller again.

The next moment, to Peter's surprise, the liquid-like nanomaterials began to writhe violently.

Under everyone's gaze, they slowly solidified into a jet-black dagger.

Both edges gleamed with a sharp, cold light—seemingly even sharper than a forged blade.

However, upon closer inspection, the dagger form lasted less than three seconds before collapsing and reverting to its liquid state.

"Is it because… there isn't enough energy to maintain the form?"

Though his super brain had not fully awakened, Peter immediately identified the core issue.

"Exactly. It's an energy problem."

Reed was surprised that Peter had pinpointed the issue so quickly.

"Unlike ordinary bio-nanorobots, the nanotech suit you require needs far more energy to maintain a stable structure. Otherwise, the particles will collapse at the slightest touch."

"Unless we can find a special material with massive inherent energy to create the nanomaterials—but unfortunately, such materials barely exist on Earth."

"Of course, according to our design, a compact and portable power storage device providing continuous output could solve this problem."

"However, the energy research team hasn't made much progress yet."

As Reed spoke, he glanced at Tony, who was comfortably sipping cheap red wine on the sofa—the head of the energy team.

Chapter 33: The Power of the Sun Is in My Hands!

"I'm sorry, Mr. Superman. To solve the energy issue, we've tried various energy storage batteries and even conceptual future battery technologies."

"Unfortunately, none of them can serve as a power source for the suit. Only nuclear batteries could meet the enormous energy demands."

"But humanity has yet to master the technology to miniaturize nuclear batteries."

"That is the key to humanity's future—and the dream of every energy scientist…"

Facing Peter's gaze, Dr. Selvig carefully explained, afraid Peter might become angry over their slow progress.

However, Peter remained unexpectedly calm. He neither got angry nor spoke.

Instead, he turned to Tony, who was focused on drinking wine, and asked,

"Mr. Stark, do you have any suggestions?"

Hearing this, Tony finally set down his glass, stood up from the sofa, and slowly walked toward Peter.

"Alright, Mr. Superman. I know you're anxious, but scientific development must proceed step by step. Energy has always been the bottleneck limiting human progress."

"Unless a once-in-a-century genius like Newton, Einstein, or Da Vinci appears, humanity must follow its natural development path."

"If the key to the future were easy to obtain, it wouldn't be called the key to the future."

Tony, shorter than Peter, had to look up to meet his gaze.

"So you—who claim to be the greatest scientist in human history—have no better solution?"

Peter's expression remained calm as he stared at Tony.

"No. Actually, I have a pretty good plan."

A smile suddenly appeared on Tony's face.

"They say you can absorb solar energy and integrate it into your body—that's the source of your immense power."

"So essentially, you yourself are a power source stronger than any other."

Tony stopped speaking.

Everyone present—including Peter—knew exactly what Tony meant.

He was suggesting that Peter himself become the suit's "battery."

"Tony, you—"

The moment Tony finished speaking, everyone held their breath, their faces filled with tension.

This idea had been proposed before—and unanimously rejected.

For one simple reason.

"If I could handle it myself, what would I need you for?"

As Peter's eyes began to glow red, Reed quickly stepped between the two.

Turning to Peter, he cautiously pleaded,

"Mr. Superman, please give us more time. We're confident we can solve the energy problem."

"Fine. I'll give you more time."

The red glow in Peter's eyes faded. After saying that, he turned and left.

"Oh, by the way. The food I brought this time should last you three days."

"But I'll be busy next week and may not have time to bring supplies. Try to eat less and make it through the week."

Without turning his head, Peter casually added as he exited the lab.

"One week… isn't that too short?"

Everyone present understood his threat perfectly.

One week was their final deadline.

Instantly, everyone's expressions turned grim.

"Oh, right—one more thing. I came in a hurry today and didn't bring generator fuel. So if you conserve power…"

"…the base should be able to run for about three or four days."

"Unfortunately, I'm not as smart as you, so I can't calculate the time precisely. But you're all geniuses—I'm sure you'll find a solution, right?"

Peter suddenly turned back, speaking with a regretful tone.

After that, he turned and prepared to leave.

"Three days? That's impossible…"

Hearing this, the already gloomy faces of the researchers grew even more bitter.

Humanity had struggled with energy problems for decades—now they had only three days.

As Peter's figure disappeared at the end of the corridor, he glanced around at his "cellmates."

They had worked together for several days now. Though they weren't friends, they had become familiar with one another.
