What Liam Linden said was strange.
Faye Vaughn crouched by the entrance, staying out of sight. With so many bodyguards, there was no way she could force her way through. She'd have to wait for the right moment.
"How could you possibly send me to prison?" Vincent Hawthorne narrowed his eyes, his silver-rimmed glasses glinting.
"You think I'd lay all my cards on the table for you?" Liam Linden laughed hoarsely, his voice tinged with a grim, fearless ferocity. "If you dare to do anything to me, you'll pay the price."
Vincent Hawthorne frowned.
'Is he just bluffing to protect himself? Or does he really have something up his sleeve?'
While Vincent Hawthorne was still wondering, Faye Vaughn already had her answer.
She quietly scanned the rooftop. There might be a miniature surveillance drone here, one designed by Liam Linden.
Worse, he might have even secretly planted a bug on Vincent Hawthorne.
She believed that with Liam Linden's astonishing talent, it was entirely possible.
