I awoke from my bed and looked out the window with a smile, looking at the blizzard outside, I wondered what to do for the day.
"Your face looks really cute when you think, you know." Said Velzard from the couch.
It had been a week from my initial beatdown and I had already gotten used to the dragon's uninvited bedside manner. Since then I've had four more beatdowns to my name, you have no idea how grateful I am for pain resistance and ultraspeed regeneration or else I would have been a filleted human.
I turn to my desk which had a pile of books on it, I had urged Guy for some study material because despite being his student, I always relied on my self studying. Anyways, after a little pestering, he agreed and sent Misery to fetch me what I can only assume to be an entire fucking library.
I wanted all this to try and push the limits of 'Visionary'. The railgun was an extremely powerful weapon from my world but it fell apart in one use and it was only powerful in my world, so there is a lot of room for improvement.
I got up, walked towards it and sat down in the chair to try to make something I've been interested in. What I wanted do was see if I could replicate the function of skills as mechanical constructs.
For example, creating a handheld magicule breeder reactor would basically be and infinite battery in the palm of my hands.
This was basically the first thing I wanted to create. Ambitious? Maybe but that is my kinda style.
"You know, there's more to life than just books." Velzard spoke in an annoyed tone.
"Velzard, you never leave the palace, I don't think you have the right to lecture me on this, at least I'm actually trying to do something. All you do is give advise and try and fail to win Guys heart." I said in triumph.
"Hey now, I was jus-what did you just say?" Velzard tried to justify her actions until she caught the second half of my word and asked coldly.
"…It was nothing." I replied, wishfully hoping to move on from my slip of the tongue.
…But then I felt hand grip my shoulder from behind.
I slowly and shakily turn my head as cold sweat poured from my body. Velzard had an ominous smile.
--------Guy's perspective--------
"He should be awake by now, I wonder what's keeping him?"
Misery chimed in, "I will go look for hi-"
"AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"
--------Normal perspective--------
Note to self, don't bring up the Advisor's desperate attempts at seducing her partner.
Me, Velzard and Guy were sitting at a table, Guy looked confused, Velzard looked bashful and I was on the verge of crying.
Guy asked, "So what happened?"
I chimed in, "Nothing happend… absolutely nothing!"
Velzard simply smiled, she must've felt good torturing me.
"Can I go back to my room, I'm busy with something." I asked in anticipation.
Guy spoke, feigning heartbreak, " Awwww, barely a week and my student is already tired of me!"
" Well considering the fact that my lessons consist of being thrown into pit and being ripped apart by you, then I'd say I have reason to stay as far away from you as possible."
I began to use dark magic on him in which I smashed him into a wall.
Guy wasn't hurt but he was surprised, "I didn't know you could use dark magic. Is my student finally taking after me?"
Despite being here for a week, I was still apprehensive to talk about my unique skills, mainly because of 'Lucifer', I wanted my unique skill's to remain unique, that's why I never used my unique skill's Infront of him, but it wouldn't hurt to just tell him.
"Huh… it's a byproduct of one of my unique skills."
Guy saw me speak with fear, " why are you so afraid of telling me this?"
" Because I'm very much aware of that ultimate skill of yours and I would prefer to keep my unique skills to myself."
Guy had already gotten used to my knowledge of them, but was still surprised by this bit of information, although he hadn't shown it, "Ok then, tell me what they are and I promise that I won't replicate them."
"I don't trust your word…no offense."
"None taken…well I'll take my leave, I know when I'm not wanted." guy left the room, leaving just me and Velzard alone.
"Velzard, can I ask a question that I hope isn't too invasive?"
" Go ahead."
"Where is your younger brother right now?"
Velzard eyes locked onto me and analysed my facial expressions for a couple seconds, " Why do you ask?"
" Too personal of a question?"
" No, it's just a very random question and yes, a little personal, but I don't see a problem with it. If you want to know then I can tell you that my little brother has been sealed away by a true hero."
My eyes widened with anticipation, "how long ago was that."
I was happy with this confirmation, 'So I'm 150 years before canon, good to know.'
" Is that all you wanted to know?"
" Yes." I said with a beaming smile.
" You know, I quite like your boldness. You seem to have made yourself right at home in my palace." Velzard said in an icy tone.
" Does that mean I can be more bold?"
" What did you have in mind." She asked curiously.
"Can we have family name?" I asked casually.
Velzard looked at me curiously, "Oh and what makes you think you deserve to share a name with me?"
"Because I want it." I said innocently.
"Ok, but why do you want it? Unlike first names, being given a family name does not grant you strength."
"Because sharing a last name with the current oldest true dragon would something very cool to brag about…evens in this castle."
"Ok then."
'WAIT THAT WORKED???!!!' My thoughts screamed as I silently throw arms into the air in triumph.
" But you have to come up with the name." Said Velzard.
'ok then, frost, cold, fixation, OH!', "How about 'Winters'?"
Velzard thought while getting up and walking away, she had a pleased look on her face, "I like it Velzard Winters… and Simon Winters."
Velzard sits down on the icy couch, a far cry from my literal couch in my room that had actual cushioning. Velzard patted the space next to her, indicating that I should come sit next to her.
I got up and started walking to her with confusion, " I'm glad you like it, but what do you want now?" I asked while sitting down
The moment I sat down, my head was pulled and dragged down.
Before I realised it, my head was in Velzards lap, where she was weaving her fingers through my hair
With her soft fingers going through my hair, I heard only four words before I had lost consciousness, "Welcome home, Simon Winters."
