I stayed in the clinic for at least a week before getting discharged.
I thought they were overreacting since I only lost my memories—was that really worth a week? Ah, and also, the David guy took care of me every day. He always tells me the activities we've done, but unfortunately, none rang a bell.
Walking through the halls, I stopped at a room with a plate with my name on it.
[Adrian]
I decided to enter it, since obviously it belongs to me. Holding the knob, it gave me déjà vu.
The door opened with a click.
It was the same as before.
And suddenly—I remembered.
The dent, the chair, and the jumpscare. The room game, the manager, and… Father.
I clenched my fists. The wave of recognition flooded my head. I remember now who David was.
I ran out of the room. Using my memory of the layout, I made my way to the room with no plate. Standing before the door, I inhaled and exhaled.
Whatever I see within this room is confidential.
There were murmurs on the other side of the door. I burst in and the officials inside were shocked.
Near the projected screen, David stood, his mouth hanging open. Unable to register the situation—or was it something else? There was also a hint of something I couldn't recognize in his eyes.
"Hey. Brother, I… remember now. Everything, heh!"
