Lukas listened carefully, his eyes filled with curiosity.
He couldn't understand how two complete opposites could exist together.
"Isn't it strange how two opposite things come together?" his father asked.
"Then why do people love going to the beach?" Lukas wondered.
His mother smiled and answered, "The quiet sand and the loud waves crashing against it—aren't they complete opposites?"
Lukas nodded.
"Even if they are different, you can't help but love them," she continued. "The beach is like love. Even if you and the person you love are completely opposite, beyond all that, you still choose each other."
She glanced at Lukas's father.
"Did you know your mom and I fell in love at the beach?" his father added.
Lukas and his sister gasped in surprise.
"Your mom was sunbathing while I was swimming. The moment I saw her tan skin and beauty; I fell in love. So, I asked for her number. I never expected her to actually call me back—"
Suddenly, Lukas's mom interrupted with a laugh.
"And why wouldn't I fall for his pale skin and strong muscles? Though now, those muscles have turned into—well—something else."
The whole family burst into laughter,
Lukas fell asleep as soon as they arrived at the villa.
Morning came, and Lukas woke up to his mom's gentle voice.
"Lukie, you've got to wake up and see the sunrise over the sea."
"Yeah, you've gotta wake up, you sleepy head," his sister added.
"Hmm… coming…" he murmured.
After Lukas finished changing into his swimsuit, he went to the villa's balcony.
"Wow… it really is beautifully strange. I like the view—and the sound the waves create."
Excited, Lukas hurried downstairs to see the sea more closely.
Lukas shouted and said,
"Hehe, Mom, Dad! I'm gonna go swimmi—"
