"Yes." Pegasus tipped his hat. "I set one card. End my turn!" (Cards in hand: 0)
"That guy…" Jonouchi clenched his fist. "In one turn he brought out two high-level monsters. If Kisaragi can't deal with those Toon monsters next turn, she'll get hit by direct attacks from both!"
"But look at Kisaragi," Anzu whispered. "She doesn't seem worried at all."
"My turn—draw!"
"Battle! Blue-Eyes White Dragon, attack Toon Red-Eyes Black Dragon—Burst Stream of Destruction!"
"No, no, no~" Pegasus laughed. "I activate Toon Kingdom's effect—by banishing the top card of my Deck face-down, my Toon Red-Eyes can't be destroyed!"
On the field, Toon Red-Eyes literally hopped out of the beam, then stuck out its tongue at Blue-Eyes like a bratty cartoon.
"Even if it can't be destroyed," Kisaragi said, "you still take battle damage."
Pegasus LP 4000 → 3400
"So long as Toon Kingdom is up, Toon monsters can't be destroyed…?" Dark Yugi muttered. "That's troublesome."
Kisaragi calmly set two cards.
"I set two cards. End my turn." (Cards in hand: 5)
Pegasus tried again to probe her facedowns with the Millennium Eye—but just like before, Blue-Eyes' spirit blocked him completely.
"Tch. What an irritating woman," Pegasus hissed.
Pegasus Presses the Attack
"My turn—draw!"
"I activate the Spell Toon Bookmark! I can add from my Deck to my hand one card—other than Toon Bookmark—that lists 'Toon World' in its text (or 'Toon World' itself). I choose Toon Buster Blader!"
"Then I activate Toon Red-Eyes Black Dragon's effect—Special Summon Toon Buster Blader from my hand!"
Toon Buster Blader(2600 ATK / 2300 DEF)
"That's Yugi's Buster Blader—Toonified!" Jonouchi blurted.
Dark Yugi's eyes narrowed.
Pegasus' smile widened.
"Toon Buster Blader's ATK increases by 500 for each Dragon monster on your field and in your Graveyard, Miss Kisaragi. You have two Dragons total—so it gains 1000 ATK!"
Toon Buster Blader(3600 ATK / 2300 DEF)
"Battle! Toon Red-Eyes Black Dragon—direct attack on Miss Kisaragi! Black Flare!"
Toon Red-Eyes puffed its belly out like a balloon and spat a dark red energy shot.
Kisaragi didn't flinch.
"I activate the Continuous Trap Bubble Messenger!"
A torrent of bubbles rose like a wall, swallowing the Black Flare on contact.
"What?!" Pegasus snapped.
"As long as Bubble Messenger remains on the field," Kisaragi said, "Level 4 or higher monsters cannot declare direct attacks."
"Right," Bakura nodded. "Toon monsters specialize in bypassing monsters for direct attacks—but that Trap is the perfect counter."
Pegasus clicked his tongue.
"Then Toon Buster Blader attacks Blue-Eyes White Dragon—Buster Blade Slash!"
The tiny Toon swordsman struggled to lift a blade bigger than itself, then brought it down in a dramatic diagonal cut.

"End my turn!" (Cards in hand: 0)
Pegasus' brow tightened.
"Of course it wouldn't be that easy to defeat her…"
Kisaragi Sets the Snare
"My turn—draw!"
Kisaragi glanced at the card she drew, then smiled—quiet, knowing, and unsettling.
She set two cards without summoning anything.
"I set two cards. End my turn." (Cards in hand: 4)
Pegasus' eyes narrowed.
"No monsters… just set cards? Because Bubble Messenger is on the field, she thinks I can't finish her with direct attacks?"
"My turn—draw!"
The Real Target: Toon Kingdom
Kisaragi snapped her hand forward.
"I flip my facedown—activate the Quick-Play Spell Mystical Space Typhoon! I destroy one Spell/Trap on the field—my target is Toon Kingdom!"
"That's it!" Jonouchi shouted. "If Toon Kingdom goes down, Pegasus' Toon monsters get way weaker!"
"Heh heh heh—nice try." Pegasus lifted a finger. "I activate Toon Bookmark's Graveyard effect—I banish it from my Graveyard, and this turn Toon Kingdom cannot be destroyed!"
The stormwind stopped dead, as if someone had snuffed it out.
"What?!" Jonouchi barked.
"Pegasus stocked Toon Bookmark in the Graveyard on purpose," Dark Yugi said, jaw tight. "He read the threat and prepared insurance."
Pegasus' eyes sharpened.
"Bubble Messenger is the problem. If it blocks my direct attacks… I'll just destroy it."
"I activate Monster Reborn! I Special Summon Toon Harpie Lady from my Graveyard!"
Toon Harpie Lady(1300 ATK / 1400 DEF)
"Not good!" Mai shouted. "He's going to use Toon Harpie Lady to destroy Bubble Messenger!"
Pegasus grinned.
"I activate Toon Harpie Lady's effect—destroy Bubble Messenger!"
Toon Harpie Lady tore through the bubbling wall with razor claws, shredding it into glittering foam.
"That settles it—now my Toon monsters can—"
"Is that so?" Kisaragi smiled. "Honestly… I'm grateful you destroyed Bubble Messenger."
"What?!" Pegasus' grin cracked.
Kisaragi flipped her other facedown.
"I activate the Trap Blizzard!"
Pegasus' eyes widened.
"W-what—Blizzard?!"
Jonouchi whipped toward Dark Yugi. "Yugi—what does Blizzard do?!"
Dark Yugi answered immediately.
"Blizzard activates when your Trap is destroyed by your opponent's effect. It lets you destroy one Spell/Trap your opponent controls."
Jonouchi sucked in a breath.
"Then that means—"
"Exactly," Dark Yugi said. "This is Kisaragi's setup. She counted on Pegasus destroying Bubble Messenger… so Blizzard could take out Toon Kingdom."
Snow exploded across Pegasus' side of the field—thick, heavy flakes. Toon monsters shivered dramatically, teeth chattering in exaggerated cartoon panic. The castle inside the book groaned under the weight of the storm—
—and collapsed with a thunderous crash.
Kisaragi's voice cut through the blizzard.
"Pegasus—because Toon Kingdom is destroyed, your Toon Blue-Eyes White Dragon is destroyed as well. And without Toon Kingdom, your Toon monsters can't freely bypass everything for direct attacks."
Pegasus' face darkened—but then he barked a laugh.
"Even if Toon Kingdom is gone, you don't have a single monster on the field. After this direct attack, it's over!"
"Battle! Toon Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Toon Buster Blader—direct attack on Miss Kisaragi!"
