Sasuke Uchiha frowned slightly while recalling the sensation of using Fire Release as he muttered inwardly, "The feeling of Fire Release… tsk."
He continued attempting to inject Lightning Nature into externally released Chakra by copying the sensation he used when activating Fire Release techniques.
However, it was extremely difficult.
When using Fire Release, Chakra naturally flowed into his throat, but releasing Chakra externally and then applying Lightning Nature transformation afterward was much harder.
The main reason was simple.
He had never trained Lightning Release before.
Everything he learned previously had been Fire Release.
If this continued, Naruto that super idiot would completely surpass him.
Sasuke glanced indifferently toward Sakura in the distance and noticed that although her punching training looked clumsy, her progress was clearly steady.
That meant he alone had reached a bottleneck.
If this continued, he would become the weakest member of Team 7.
Sasuke frowned slightly and looked toward Renji resting lazily on a sofa while reading Icha Icha Paradise, then muttered inwardly, "Should I go ask Renji?"
Immediately afterward he rejected the idea.
He could already imagine Renji's mocking expression if he asked for help.
Sasuke stood up, hesitated briefly, then sat back down again.
Even if he failed to finish training within five days, even if he could not fight the kirikagura Demon, and even if he became the weakest member of Team 7, he still would not ask Renji for guidance.
He had already endured enough ridicule from Renji.
His pride would not allow it.
While thinking this, Sasuke had already walked over toward Renji.
Renji continued reading Icha Icha Paradise without even looking up and lazily said, "No need to act shy, because many women say they resist but their bodies are honest."
Sasuke coughed lightly, turned his head slightly with embarrassment on his face, and asked coolly, "How do you inject nature transformation?"
Renji yawned lazily while flipping another page and replied casually, "Didn't I already say earlier that tsundere personalities are outdated,
and besides there's nothing good about a man acting tsundere because it would only work if you were a beautiful girl?"
Sasuke placed both hands in his pockets and asked calmly, "You know a shortcut, right?"
Renji finally sat up slightly and examined him with a faint mocking smile before replying.
"That's strange because I thought a genius of the Uchiha Clan would improve the fastest in Team 7 without needing shortcuts."
He then proudly added, "Is Chidori really that difficult because I only needed three minutes to learn it, although of course you don't need to match my speed since you're not as much of a genius as I am."
Sasuke's expression darkened slightly as he silently endured the teasing.
Three minutes?
No one would believe that.
Renji continued flipping through Icha Icha Paradise while speaking lazily.
"There's no such convenient shortcut because the moment you start looking for shortcuts that idea itself becomes an obstacle preventing your growth."
Sasuke paused slightly as he thought carefully about those words.
Renji casually added while turning another page, "Actually those words only apply to ordinary ninja because I just said them since they sounded cool."
Of course shortcuts existed.
His Tenseigan was a shortcut.
The master-disciple system was also a shortcut.
Without bloodline abilities or cheats, no one could reach the top level of the ninja world.
Sasuke misunderstood the meaning slightly and replied thoughtfully, "Ordinary ninja… I understand."
He interpreted Renji's words as encouragement to grow stronger through effort rather than shortcuts.
His lips curved slightly.
He had not expected Renji to say something so inspiring.
Renji looked at him speechlessly and muttered quietly, "Good that you understand."
Sasuke almost addressed him directly by name before correcting himself quickly and saying respectfully, "Teacher Renji, please demonstrate Chidori again."
That had been close.
If he spoke carelessly he might have been beaten like Naruto.
