JASMINE
The morning light filtered softly through the curtains of Stephan's bedroom, painting the room in gentle golden hues. I woke slowly, nestled against his chest, his arm draped possessively around my waist.
My eyes widened at once, we both slept in the same room. I was too tired before we got home and the next thing I can recall is me waking up right beside him.
(Good morning Host…how was your night?) My heart health increased as I stared at Stephan.
His breathing was deep and even, still lost in sleep. For a few precious moments, I simply lay there, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, feeling the warmth of his body against mine. It was peaceful. Safe. Something I hadn't felt in a very long time.
I shifted slightly, and Stephan stirred, his eyes fluttering open. When his gaze landed on me, a slow, sleepy smile curved his lips, the kind that made my stomach flutter.
