Is this a mistake... or...?
But how could anyone make such a mistake? Especially with food or a drink?
"Doctor, are you sure about this?" Herbert, making me to look up from the report.
The doctor nodded without hesitation.
"We have full confidence in our equipment, Mr. Whitemore. The test results, together with the symptoms Aimy presented, indicate that she ingested a harmful substance."
He paused before continuing.
"If I may ask, is Aimy allergic to anything? Or did she eat anything new today? If she has a severe allergic reaction to an ingredient used in her meal, it could produce similar symptoms."
Herbert immediately shook his head.
"No. Everything Aimy ate this morning is something she's had several times before."
The doctor fell silent for a moment, deep in thought.
"In that case, we'll have to consider another possibility."
He looked between the two of us before speaking again.
