— Back In Present —
The video Butcher showed Adem caused the hair in his neck to stiffen.
He closed his eyes and began to mumble
"1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8…9…10… Didn't work" he opened his eyes, they were now glowing red.
Adem suddenly grabbed Butcher by the throat and lifted him high up into the air.
"Where the hell is Cate?!"
The former co-leader of Seven got into a fighting position, but she stopped when William put up his hand.
"Stop it. As long as we have his girl, we own him, and he knows it." He said and Adem dropped him.
"Thank you, love. Now then onto the business." Butcher said as he fixed his wrinkled clothes
"No." They all heard
"No?"
"I said no."
"You can't say no. We got your girl."
"I said no… I had given Starlight a courtesy by showing up today, but you have the gall to go after the girl I love." He said as he lasered Butcher's face in.
His brain splattered to Annie and MM who were standing behind him.
"Jesus Christ," Huggie mumbled but nobody made a move. They just now realized they had shaken the hornets nest too hard.
"Now, for the rest of you. I am giving you a chance, unless Cate is safe and talking to me within the next minute, I will kill you all- scratch that. I will kill you regardless. This next minute is your chance to save your families." He said and noticed that amongst the group the black guy stiffen the most.
"After I kill you, I will make it my life's mission to make your loved one's lives miserable. Any children, nieces, nephews you have will be sold to the new Epstein island- I don't know if there is one, but if not, then I'll sell them to the fattest overseas oligarch I can find." He said in a cold tone.
"Any parents, spouses and siblings, I will find a dozen ex-convicts named Tyrone and have them run trains through them. And after that, I will spend the next decade of my life destroying anything and everything I think you might have cared about." He said as he looked at his watch.
Annie's eyes glowed as she absorbed the nearby electricity and she tried to blast him but he barely even felt it.
"Tik Tak" he said with a sick grin plastered on his face.
A chill ran down their whole body.
"Look, we didn't want to abduct your girlfriend. It was the only way we could get you to help with Homelander. He is crazy!" Huggie- the skinny guy tried to explain but it was too late
"Tik Tak"
"Shit! Annie's outburst fried our phones. We can't reach Frenchie!" MM- the black guy said, "Please, we just need a couple of minutes." He pleaded
"Tik Tak"
"FUCK!" He screamed. MM was a prison psychologist, he could usually tell when someone was bluffing, and this mother fucker was anything but.
"Run. I'll try to hold him off!" Annie said but before she could do anything Adem appeared in front of her and suddenly pierced his hand through her heart.
Blood came out from her mouth as light left her eyes all in a single moment.
"NO!" Hughie shouted as he pulled out a pistol and started blasting Adem, but the young Supe casually caught them one by one and once Hughie was out of bullets grabbed the twink by the head and squeezed until his head exploded.
Seeing his friends die horribly, MM's PTSD from his childhood began to flare as his heart pounded faster.
Adem could hear it, so he gave the man a minute to calm himself, once he was stable Adem spoke up. "Look, I know you have children- do not lie. I do not know how many, or where they live but I know they exist. Now, I can make it my life's goal to find them, or you can tell me where Cate is."
"…" MM knew he had to make a choice. His life was already over. This monster wasn't going to let him go. That much was clear. And if he took him to where the blonde girl was, he would definitely kill Frenchie and Kimiko too. But this was the only shot he had at saving his daughter… his family.
"Promise you won't touch their families too and we have a deal." MM said, Adem looked at the dead bodies of Huggies and Annie and gave a shallow nod.
"If she is unhurt, I'll be lenient." He said and the older man nodded.
MM then told Adem what he wanted to know and the Supe thanked him by punching a hole through his stomach. Adem left him there to bleed to death before flying at supersonic speeds to the underground bunker where they were holding his girlfriend.
"CATE!" He said as he saw her, unharmed. There were two people next to her, a French man and a Japanese Supe, he lasered them in the head before walking towards Cate. He untied her quickly "Are you alright?" He asked as he checked her body thoroughly for injuries with his X-Ray vision.
"I- I'm fine now." She said as she got out of the chair and gave him a kiss. "I was in the mall, when suddenly Starlight and this bitch jumped me." She said as she glared towards Kimiko.
They then noticed Kimiko's injuries were slowly healing.
"Huh? I'll be a monkey's uncle, we got an Asian Wolverine here…" Adem mumbled before telling Cate to take a couple of steps back and unleashing the full force of his heat vision on the Japanese Supe, turning her into ash. No one was gonna come back from that.
After making sure Kimiko was dead, they decided on what to do… Adem had just killed Starlight, and something like that doesn't just go away.
So they called Dean Shetty.
