Endless Chaos – Chaos Void Plane: The Path of Story
Chapter 10 – The Arena of Narratives
The city of Aurelis never truly slept.
Even during the late hours of the night, glowing scripts floated through the streets like drifting fireflies. Every building carried inscriptions—some telling heroic tales, others recording tragedies, and some containing stories that were still being written.
Raphael walked beside Lina and Caelum, staring around with amazement.
"This place feels alive," he said.
Lina smiled.
"That's because it is."
She pointed toward the center of the city.
A massive structure rose above everything else like a floating crown.
The Narrative Arena.
"That's where storytellers test their stories," Lina explained.
Raphael raised an eyebrow.
"You mean… people fight using stories?"
Caelum nodded calmly.
"In the Path of Story, belief is power."
"The stronger the story… the stronger the manifestation."
Raphael grinned slightly.
"Then I guess it's time to see how strong my story really is."
Inside the arena, thousands of glowing seats surrounded a massive circular battlefield.
The air vibrated with narrative energy.
Floating screens displayed fragments of stories written by different participants.
Heroes clashed with monsters.
Kingdoms rose and fell.
Entire wars unfolded within illusions of narrative power.
A voice echoed through the arena.
"Welcome to tonight's Narrative Clash!"
The crowd roared.
"Storytellers will compete to determine whose story holds the strongest belief!"
Raphael stepped into the waiting area.
A crystal panel appeared before him.
Please register your story.
He placed his hand on the panel.
The words he had written earlier appeared instantly.
Story Registered: Dragon Slayer
The crystal glowed brightly.
Nearby storytellers turned their heads.
"Dragon Slayer?"
"That sounds powerful…"
A tall man stepped forward from the opposite side of the waiting area.
His long coat was covered with glowing script.
"So you're the newcomer everyone's talking about."
Raphael looked at him calmly.
"And you are?"
The man smirked.
"Veyron. Rank Three Storyteller."
He folded his arms.
"Let me give you some advice."
"Most new storytellers lose their first ten battles."
Raphael shrugged.
"Good thing I only need one win."
Veyron laughed.
"Confident."
The arena announcer spoke again.
"First match!"
"Raphael vs Veyron!"
The battlefield erupted with cheers.
Raphael stepped forward.
Across from him, Veyron raised his hand.
A glowing book appeared in front of him.
"My story," Veyron said proudly, "is The Endless War."
The battlefield instantly transformed.
Dark clouds filled the sky.
Thousands of soldiers appeared across a massive war field.
Raphael whistled softly.
"Big story."
Veyron grinned.
"And yours?"
Raphael lifted his hand.
A single page of glowing script appeared.
"Simple one."
Dragon Slayer.
The page burst into flames of golden light.
A massive roar echoed across the arena.
From the sky descended a colossal dragon.
The ground shook beneath its wings.
The crowd gasped.
Veyron's confident smile slowly faded.
"…That's not a beginner's story."
Raphael smirked.
The dragon lowered its head beside him.
"Let's see whose story the world believes more."
The battle began.
