That was the message she sent two weeks ago ,and it was still unread. She didn't even sleep at her dorm anymore. She slept at a family owned hotel , the people there were lively , she didn't even attend her physical classes. Always cooped up in her room ordering in ,sometimes having dinner with the kids of other guests that's just what she wanted to do . "Where the hell could she be?" Shaun yelled at the two guards he assigned to her while she studied at college.
"We searched everywhere sir -"
"Get the hell out and find my goddamn fucking wife!"he cut them off yelling , he was loosing his mind honestly . Not being able to see her in her dorm while she was asleep let alone even know where she was haunted him. With the words she said that day ,at night he still visited her to only find her bed empty ,every room there empty . He felt like he lost his own will to live that day and it kept on getting worse each day , he didnt recieve any calls from his rivals or warnings so that means she's still out there and alive. Her phone switched off everything just going haywire in his head.
After the guards left hus butler tried soothing him down but he ended up failing as his boss threw a dagger next to his head. "I don't think I'll miss next time if you keep on breathing down my fucking neck with words I do not care about!"he yelled grabbing another dagger , his butler left after giving a calm bow. Shaun didn't even care about his appearance right now ,his beard grew his eyes baggy even bis hair was unkept. He buried himself in work to forget but the voices in his head whispered Eva's name time and time again he sometimes tore papers apart and sometimes he'd just throw them all over the place.
"You know for someone who doesn't care about her life you really look disheveled." Leister Reed said his foot steps really unheard, Shaun lazily looked up at him from his table. "Who called you here ?"he asked and Leister shrugged his shoulders. "I felt my eyes twitching real bad and realized you were dying. Didn't think it'd be cause of a women ..." he trailed off smirking as he casually sat on the sofa next to Shaun's table ,with his legs crossed . "Was it just a fight or you pushed the poor thing to her past limits?"he asked and Shaun sighed leaning his head back on his CEO chair . "Okay the second option I guess."Leister said cracking his knuckles .
"If you're going to gloat about me pushing my wife away then you're free to count till three to leave or else your body will be food for fish ."Shaun said with a calm voice and Liester chuckled ,"Oh forgive me for being concerned about my only enemy . You look like you came out if a cave a million years ago by that l mean you look like sh*t and clearly you love your wife so much cause of how you look . Do tell what stupidity you did to push her past her limits of tolerance for you ."Leister said and Shaun banged his fist on his table , "Now that's not going to bring her back is it ?"he finally snapped . "I f***ed up and that's my problem where the hell do you get an input in my marriage ?"he asked Leister seething with anger in the end .
"Cause your butler called was it Gary or something? He said you were moping around like a lost puppy cause you lost your wife. Who better than me to keep you company huh ? Atleast thats what Hary thought. Dude will you just get off your high horse and find your wife." Leister said annoyed too , "How am I supposed to find someone that doesn't want to be found by me?"Shaun snapped again his voice raised this time he buried his head on his arms. "You are an arrogant bully Shaun . Of course you can find what belongs to you ,you always do. Okay fine she left hut guess what? She'll always be yours , I've seen the way you look at her even though it was once but I know when an arrogant bastard is inlove or not. "Leister said chuckling in the end and message from his wife flashed through his phone.
"She replied to my wife's messages. Are you ready to find your long lost wife ?"Leister said flashing his phone around ,Shaun's posture got fixed instantly after he heard that. "She's at some family owned hotel three hours away from here. Go get her ."Leister said and he left. As soon as he did Shaun called his butler and secretary over. "Good you're both here , bring me fresh suits wait casual clothes too and Gary you're going to be cutting my hair right now. " he said and they did the tasks assigned to them .
After they finished they left him to change into fresh clothes that he asked for , he changed atleast four times and decided on wearing casual clothes to make it seem like he didn't care that much she was gone for two weeks, he drove fir three hours to the hotel she was in, he saw her playing with kids and he stepped out of the car .
"You know transparent things can always be broken ,little bird. " he said softly behind her. She froze after hearing his deep voice her breath hitching .
