The deepest part of the Shadow King's Royal Palace was not as dark and chaotic as expected. Instead, it was eerily silent.
At the center of the massive circular hall, an extremely complex magic circle was engraved into the floor. Countless eerie green lines twisted like living creatures, radiating an ancient and suffocating aura.
At the far end of the hall, seated upon a towering black throne, was a single figure.
He was not some grotesque monster, but a pale, frail-looking man. He wore a dark red robe, his long black hair falling loosely over his shoulders. His face was almost unnaturally pale.
But his eyes were the most terrifying part.
They were ripple-patterned, glowing faintly purple, as if containing the birth and destruction of entire worlds.
The moment his gaze settled forward, the air itself froze.
Cedric's pupils shrank.
Rinnegan.
Even though it looked slightly different, he would never mistake that presence. It was the supreme ocular power of the Sage of Six Paths, a force that controlled life and death itself.
And somehow, it existed in this world.
"Oh, you recognize this?" the man on the throne said with a faint smile. His voice was calm, almost amused. "So not all mortals here are insignificant."
Asta stepped forward, Anti-Magic erupting from his body as he forced his way through the pressure, "Give back the Wizard King!"
"The Wizard King?" the man chuckled softly, tapping his fingers against the armrest, "That self-righteous man is currently enjoying eternity."
"Stop talking nonsense!" Luck roared as he charged forward, his body transforming, lightning surging wildly around him, "I'll smash you myself!"
His punch shot forward with overwhelming force.
The man didn't even move.
"Shinra Tensei."
An invisible force exploded outward.
Luck was instantly blown back, his attack completely nullified as a massive shockwave tore through the hall. The ground shattered, and the entire palace trembled.
"Luck!" Noelle shouted as she summoned a massive water shield, but it shattered instantly under the pressure, forcing everyone to retreat.
Cedric steadied himself, his expression darkening.
That wasn't magic.
There was no mana flow.
That was pure Chakra.
"Interesting," the man finally focused on Cedric, his Rinnegan gleaming faintly, "You carry the scent of something familiar. Chakra, in a world like this. How amusing."
Cedric's hands subtly formed seals.
"You're not from this world, are you?" he asked coldly.
The man stood and slowly descended the throne steps. Shadows twisted around him, forming chains that moved like living serpents.
"Who am I?" he said calmly, tilting his head slightly, "I am the god of this world, and the one who will end it."
He smiled faintly.
"You may call me Nidhogg."
Asta frowned, "Never heard of you."
Cedric's eyes sharpened.
Nidhogg.
A name tied to destruction, something far beyond normal existence.
"You understand more than the others," Nidhogg said, raising his hand as a pitch-black sphere formed in his palm, radiating terrifying power, "Then you should also understand your place."
His gaze locked onto Cedric.
"Hand over the Chakra Fruit within you, and I might allow you to exist beneath me."
Cedric smirked slightly, licking a trace of blood from his thumb after biting it.
"If you want it, come take it."
His Chakra surged violently.
"Susanoo."
A massive purple skeletal figure erupted around Cedric, rapidly forming into a towering half-body giant. Its enormous arm shot forward, grabbing the black sphere and slamming it into the ground.
The entire palace shook violently.
Asta barely steadied himself, staring up in shock, "So this is your real power, Cedric."
Nidhogg looked at his empty hand, his expression slowly turning cold.
"So this is your answer."
His voice dropped.
"Then I'll devour your soul as well."
Darkness swallowed the hall.
A massive red moon illusion rose behind him.
"Infinite Tsukuyomi."
Countless beams of red light shot forward like blades.
Cedric's eyes flared, his power surging in response.
"You think illusions will work on me?"
Space itself began to distort as black flames erupted.
"Kamui: Amaterasu."
The attacks collided violently, freezing the space between them in a chaotic clash of power.
"Cedric!" Asta shouted.
Cedric's voice cut through the storm, "Asta, now. Cut off his connection to the magic circle. That's his power source."
"Got it!"
Asta launched forward, Anti-Magic covering his entire body as he charged straight toward the magic circle.
Nidhogg's expression darkened.
"Pathetic."
Shadow demons surged from the ground to intercept him.
Before they could reach him, Noelle stepped forward, her magic erupting with force, "Water Magic: Sea Dragon's Roar!"
A massive dragon-shaped torrent blasted forward, clearing the path.
Luck followed with a wild grin, lightning bursting around him as he tore through the remaining enemies.
Asta didn't slow down.
Reaching the center of the circle, he raised both swords high.
"Break already!"
He brought them down with everything he had.
The explosion that followed shook the entire palace.
The magic circle shattered.
The Shadow King's Royal Palace began collapsing.
Amid the storm of debris and raging energy, both Cedric's Susanoo and Nidhogg were blown apart, crashing violently into the ruins.
Dust filled the air.
The battle was far from over.
