Chapter 39 - The solution to a sorcerers problem, and watching the sunshine of a ''saved'' universe.

The ancient one hasn't felt such joy and excitement for a long time, the serum she thought inferior was actually the solution to obtaining innate magical abilities, making them true sorcerers.

She then looked towards Eldrin, about to speak, but Eldrin was faster, already knowing she desired more evolution serums by her joyful reaction.

"You will be provided with as many evolution serums as you need, I will also personally introduce you to Erskine, a protector as great as yourself deserves our full support"

"Your contributions to planet Earth will not go unnoticed"

The ancient one was not surprised by Eldrin's kindness; she had been observing this man for quite some time, already having an idea of his personality,he had shown to be ruthless to those who threaten peace, and kind to those who try to preserve it.

Eldrin opened a portal that led directly to Erskine's office.

And with a polite bow, he said,"After you"

The ancient one walked towards the portal, and Eldrin followed right after her.

The teleportation was seamless; they were right outside Erskine's office.

Knock! knock! knock!

Eldrin knocked at the door three times, and a moment later, a muffled voice came from behind the door.

"Come on in"

Both figures walked into the office and saw a man sitting in his office with stacks of paperwork on the ground that reached his desk,he looked tired, even though he physically wasn't, after all, his one of the most powerful people here.

"Oh, the suffering that comes from success, you're finally experiencing it, old friend" said Eldrin, amused yet concerned at the same time, seeing the too many stacks of paper.

Erskine, with a tired and annoyed tone answered.

"I've been experiencing it for more than fifty fucking years!"

Erskine then took a deep breath and looked at the other figure clad in a yellow robe and said.

"Apologies for that, I'm just tired, now who might you be?"

Eldrin answered in her stead.

"She goes by the name of the ancient one,she has been here for centuries, silently protecting Earth from threats of all sorts, if possible, could you provide her with evolution serums? she needs quite a few of them"

Erskine didn't even question Eldrin; he knew well by now that Eldrin did not lie,up to this point, everything he said was true, nor was he interested in how he knew.

Everybody has secrets; sometimes it's best to keep them,Erskine trusts Eldrin more than he doubts him; he has proven his desire to protect this world many times leaving no doubt.

Erskine answered without hesitation.

"It will be done; we have an abundance of those serums either way"

The ancient one said gratefully.

"Thank you, Mr Erskine"

 November 3, 2012

Somewhere in the futuristic city of Nepal, was another unremarkable futuristic building, but it was no ordinary building; it led to Kamar-Taj, where sorcerers reside and are trained in the mystic arts.

Sorceresses could be seen marveling at their newfound capabilities, yes, they were injected with the evolution serum, officially becoming majin, no longer needing to borrow or draw magic power from other beings or dimensions, they were now true sorcerers all possessing magic power of their own.

The more experienced ones did not need to use their sling rings anymore, creating portals with a wave of their hands.

"I CAST, FIRE BALL" said one of the trainees loudly.

A basketball sized fire ball shot out of his extended hand, flying into the distance and eventually hitting a mountain.

BOOM!

Mordo who was there, was about to reprimand him, but the ancient one appeared and thought, intrigued.

"Fascinating, apparently after the transformation, spells become more potent, and due to our strengthened bodies we can even use stronger spells with no side effects"

After a few moments, she turned towards Mordo and said.

"No need to be so strict, they are just getting used to their new abilities, mistakes are to be expected"

But then she turned towards the trainee and said.

"But try not to destroy this place, if you can"

Although it sounded like a suggestion, the trainee knew full well that it was not, and tactfully drowned the curiosity of his new abilities in order to save his pitiful life.

On Erskine's house sat two men on a couch, having a conversation while watching holographic television, though their tall figures and wings made it a bit awkward, but after all this time they were used to it.

"So, you have discovered that the tesseract can interfere with space, possibly allowing teleportation over long distances, is that it?" asked Eldrin, slightly surprised that it took so much time for them to find out.

"Yes, in 3 days from now, we will attempt to create a permanent portal that leads to Mars; it will make travelling between the two planets instantaneous."

"A brilliant way to use the tesseract I must say, though are you certain there will be no issues?" asked Eldrin a bit concerned, after all, if something were to go wrong even he wouldn't be capable of protecting them, it was an artifact with limitless energy after all.

"Worry not, we have studied this for a few years and have made precautions, even if it fails at least the tesseract won't explode" answered Erskine with certainty.

Which he may regret.

Eldrin nodded, thought honestly, he wasn't completely assured, something told him that something would definitely go wrong, yet he had no way to prove or confirm it, for now at least.
