The morning greated the outpost with a thin layer of fog that was slowly starting to disappear with the light.
The calm morning was only disturbed by the hunters training. Inside of the outpost multiple hunters were training, only stopping to rest. But two hunters were not with the training ones.
Robert the elite hunter of Lakeside outpost was walking with his student taking in the calm morning. Today was the day that his student was set out to start the journey to Nirvana and make a name for him self.
With himself being an elite hunter he arranged for his student to go to there.
Not just because it's a big outpost and there are a lot more hunters there so that he can get friends easier of course not.
Even arranging for his student to go to another outpost would've taken a lot more time. The reason it was easy to arrange it is because the chief hunter there is an old friend of his, in the past they have fought side by side.
They stopped by the wall of the outpost neither of them saying anything. Wincent his student was the most capable hunter he hase taught so far. But sometimes he was a little reckless.
Right now he has mastered four tipes of weapons to a level where he can fight with them against monsters easily.
"I know that today is the day you're going to have to leave to arrive in time to Nirvana. But it just feels like yesterday that I started teaching you Wincent."
"I know. Time flies even if we don't want it to. But you don't need to worry teacher you already taught me everything you can. It's my responsibility of how good I make use of that knowledge."
After saying that and smiling so confidently Robert couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. Because he knows that Wincent will be alright and the fact that he was taught by an elite hunter won't make him arrogant and won't get to his head. Hes recklessness isn't coming from that.
After both of them returd inside of the outpost Wincent's Palico Peet jumped on his back to surprise him.
"Meow!" (Surprise!)
He was really excited for the upcoming journey. Peet was an orange coloured short haired Palico with a little black mixed into his furr on his legs and back.
"Before the two of you get to exited make sure that you have everything packed for the journey. It's going to take a few days to get to Nirvana even if you're Seikret can run really fast."
"Of course Robert you don't have to worry."
"Mrrom." (Of course not!)
After that they talked about a few things and Wincent ran back to his residence to get his armour and weapon ready while Peet went to find their Seikret to get it ready for the journey that is infront of them.
While his student was busy with the preparations Robert thought back to the letter he sent to his friend. It's going to be interesting to see how he is going to react to his students recklessness.
Wincent did a few final checks on his Legiana armour and great sword. Seeing as it didn't needed to be fixed at all since he hasn't been out hunting for his armour and weapon to get damaged.
The reason why he wasn't out hunting is that he needed to get a few things done with Robert so that he can go to Nirvana.
After putting it on he went to find his Palico and Seikret. He hasn't been able to name it yet because he couldn't think of anything that would suit it.
After a little walking he spotted his Seikret and Palico by the gate waiting for him. Spotting his Seikret wasn't that hard since it's feathers colours are purple and red. Not that hard to miss. But thankfully the armour that it has hides most of it so when they go out he doesn't get spotted by monsters that easily.
After getting a few farewells from the other hunters and saying goodbye to everyone he finally set out on his journey to Nirvana.
Wincent's journey took him through the plains first since he only counted it as the first biom because it's the first new one he encountered so far. He did go out hunting monsters with his teacher or alone to gether experience.
He was rarely outside of the outpost that often because of inside treaning. But his teacher did teach him what kind of bioms there are and the monsters in them.
Right now he was reading the map he and his teacher made to get to his destination. According to their estimates he's journey would take at least five days since he would go around the Great Forest but only one if he goes through it but it's risky.
Since the sky was going dark regardless he and Peet decided to find a place where they would be safe for the night and think about the new steps after that.
After a little searching around they found a little cave above ground that was safe from the bigger monsters and the smaller ones wouldn't be able to get to.
While his companions were sleeping Wincent thought about the next steps. Ethernet get throught the forest or go around it at the coast where he and Robert talked about. It was risk versus time. While thinking about it he eventually fallen asleep.
The morning sun shined right into his eyes waking him up just as Peet woke up as well. After eating he asked Peet about his thought about which way they should go.
After contemplating a little bit it was decided that they would go through the forest. It was risky but both of them were confident that even if they encounter a monster they wouldn't going to get seriously injured. With that decision they departed.
After entering the forest and travelling for a few hours they encounterd a clearing that wasn't natural. A clear sign of monster fighting was present, a few trees were up rooted, claw marks everywhere. A big battle was faught here.
At that moment he heard the voices of other hunters coming near and he decided to shout to get their attention. After the hunters arrived he introduced himself and Peet. After telling them what he known so far they decided to see if they can somehow determine what kind of monsters faught here to make so much of a big mess.
One of the hunters found teeth on the ground and some scales. Out of those finds they could determine that a Glavenus and a Deviljo were fighting here but the claw marks couldn't be identified for now.
Not to mention the black scales they found. None of the hunters present could determine it's origin.
What they did know is that they needed to get rid of the Deviljo first before they could try to find the other monster.
Since Wincent told them that he was on his way to Nirvana they went back together for safety. Because the unknown monster could be still around somewhere.
