Chapter 84 - The Truth They Buried

The Truth They Buried

The tension in the office hadn't settled—

When the doors burst open.

Footsteps echoed.

Ingrid walked in first.

Zavian beside her.

And Aurora just behind.

They stopped.

Because they saw him.

Damian El Diablo Reyes.

Ingrid's body froze instantly.

Her breath hitched.

Her vision blurred.

"R… Ryan…?" she whispered.

The name echoed.

Everyone turned.

Shock spread across their faces like wildfire.

Because the man standing there…

Was nothing like the boy they once knew.

Damian smirked slightly.

Cold.

Unfazed.

"You really thought…" he said slowly.

"…your little trick could take me down?"

A pause.

"Come on…"

His eyes darkened.

"Think again."

Ingrid's hands trembled.

Her mind refused to accept it.

"No…" she muttered.

Her expression twisted.

"You're still that little boy…"

Before anyone could react—

💥 She fired.

The gunshot echoed.

Gasps filled the room.

"Ryan, you son of a—"

"Enough."

Lucas stepped forward instantly.

Blocking the tension.

His voice sharp.

Authoritative.

"He is not the boy you knew."

Silence.

Lucas's eyes swept across the room.

"He is Damian El Diablo Reyes."

The name dropped—

Like a death sentence.

The air changed.

Even those who hadn't heard it before…

Felt it.

Fear crept into their bones.

Because that name—

Was whispered in the underworld.

A name that made even the bravest men hesitate.

A name that meant—

Death.

Ingrid staggered slightly.

"No…" she whispered.

But deep down—

She knew.

The Truth Revealed

Damian didn't waste another second.

He reached into his coat.

Pulled out a file.

Old.

Sealed.

And handed it to his lawyer.

"Read it," he said calmly.

The lawyer stepped forward.

Opening the documents carefully.

Silence filled the room as pages turned.

Then—

He spoke.

"From the evidence presented…"

A pause.

"It clearly shows that Mr. Ryan—"

He corrected himself.

"—Damian El Diablo Reyes…"

"…is the rightful owner of all properties belonging to Mr. and Mrs. Williams."

Shock exploded.

Ingrid's face turned pale.

Because she recognized it.

That document.

The one she hid.

The one that held the truth.

Signed.

Sealed.

Undeniable.

"…This is impossible," she whispered.

The lawyer closed the file calmly.

"If there are any doubts…"

A small, professional smile appeared.

"…we can settle this in a court of law."

Silence.

Heavy.

Final.

The Fall Begins

Damian stepped forward slowly.

Every step echoing authority.

Power.

Ownership.

His eyes locked onto Ingrid.

"You took everything from me," he said quietly.

A pause.

"Now…"

His gaze hardened.

"I take it all back."

Ingrid staggered back slightly.

Because this time—

There was no manipulation.

No lies.

No escape.

Only truth.

And the devil standing in front of her.

Will Ingrid fight back… or has her downfall already begun?
