Riley watched as Melanie quietly ate her lunch. Indeed there was a first for everything. The incident at the music class really did a number on her, but slowly she was turning back to her old self. Except that, she treated Riley differently this time, and everyone could see that. Like one time when she had called Melanie by her name in front of everyone.
"Young miss, she just called you by your name" A maid had pointed out
"Yes? Do you have a problem with that?"
"No…but…"
"What I call my nanny is none of your business,"
"Yes Young Miss,"
Melanie's attitude didn't really change much. She still gave her ridiculous tasks to do, and frustrated her while she was working. But at least she listened and obeyed when she was told to go to bed, have her bath or prepare for the next activity on her daily activity list. That alone was a huge improvement.
