It was only then that Aaron Zane understood what was going on. He looked at Leo Morgan and said, "Morgan, what's this about? You won the auction for the Sutton Family's house?"
"Yes." Leo Morgan smiled and nodded, his gaze returning to Summer Thorne. "Speaking of which, I suppose it was fate that brought Summer and I together. If it weren't for her, I probably wouldn't have bid on this house."
Summer Thorne lowered her head and took a delicate sip of her wine before looking up again. "Mr. Morgan, I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean."
But Leo Morgan turned to Aaron Zane to explain. "I won't hide it from you—though we've only met a few times, I felt an instant connection with this child, Summer. I like her very much. I know she was very close to her father, and I didn't want her to have any regrets."
