Summer Thorne spent a long time at the cemetery. By the time she finally returned to the city, the sky had already grown dark.
The taxi she had taken pulled up to the entrance of Kingscrest. Only then did Summer Thorne stir from her drowsy state, opening her eyes to glance at her surroundings before pushing the door open and getting out.
The moment she stepped out, someone suddenly appeared in front of her and called out, "Miss Thorne."
Summer Thorne looked up, a little dazed, and saw Sidney Tate.
Sidney Tate looked at her and let out a small sigh of relief. "You're finally back. Mr. Crawford has been waiting for you for a long time."
Summer Thorne followed his gaze to a black car parked by the roadside, then turned to walk straight into the residential complex.
But Sidney Tate blocked her path. "Miss Thorne, Mr. Crawford truly came to see you in good faith."
