While Summer Thorne and Xavier Lockwood were meeting, Timothy York returned to Stillwater.
It was still early. According to the driver's report, Yara Keats hadn't gone out again since she returned.
However, Timothy York didn't see any sign of Yara Keats outside.
Usually around this time, while he was still at the office, he'd be getting all sorts of calls from Yara Keats. But today, on the rare occasion he came home early, she had instead shut herself in her room without making a sound.
Timothy York casually called the chef and learned that Yara Keats hadn't eaten anything since she got back.
Timothy York didn't press for details. He simply instructed the chef to prepare a few side dishes and place them in the food warmer.
The chef left after finishing his work, and Timothy York sat on the sofa late into the night, but Yara Keats never emerged from her room.
When the clock struck twelve, Timothy York finally got up and returned to his own room.
The night passed peacefully.
