Inside the main command chamber of The Axiom, silently orbiting above Earth's atmosphere, a giant screen displayed maps of temperature zones and energy fluctuations across every continent.
Yet the eyes of every operator were fixed on only one point: a pulsing red mark in the middle of the metropolis, the location of No Name Corporation headquarters.
"Its energy fluctuations are becoming increasingly absurd," said a tall man dressed in an elegant white robe lined with metallic patterns.
His silver cybernetic eyes reflected the light of the holographic Earth. He was Altair, the Chairman of The Axiom.
Beside him stood a man wearing a pitch-black nano-suit, a sharp contrast against the immaculate white chamber.
Vega, the Vice Chairman.
His face was as cold as a machine, almost completely expressionless.
"Our quantum suppression satellites will not be enough to withstand the energy backlash if we force an orbital strike," Vega reported, his voice calm but calculated.
"The target possesses Pure Darkness capable of consuming physical attacks as well as conventional energy assaults. Furthermore, he currently holds at least two fundamental stones."
Altair clasped his hands behind his back.
"Then we will not attack like mindless thugs. Order does not behave like common street trash, Vega. We will use diplomacy... as a distraction."
Vega looked at him.
"You intend to descend personally, Chairman?"
"Of course."
Altair gave a faint smile, one dripping with contempt.
"I will enter through the front door and speak with that 'monster' about fate and the balance of the world. Arrogant beings usually enjoy having their existence acknowledged."
He continued calmly.
"Meanwhile, while I occupy his attention in the main chamber, you will infiltrate using Quantum Stealth. Retrieve the blue and red stones from his underground laboratory. Touch nothing else besides the primary objective."
"Understood. I will deploy hard-light hologram units to deal with his pet pawns if they dare interfere," Vega replied, touching a small device at the collar of his suit.
Instantly, the nano-suit flickered, and his body became a shimmer of light that slowly blended perfectly into the room until he vanished completely from sight.
Altair nodded in satisfaction at his vice chairman's absolute camouflage technology.
He turned and walked toward the high-tech Drop-Pod launch chamber at the end of the corridor.
The glass door of the capsule opened with a soft hiss.
"Prepare infiltration mode. We descend now," Altair ordered as he stepped inside.
Vega's voice came through the internal communicator, though his body remained unseen.
"Initiating launch sequence. Destination: No Name Corporation Headquarters."
WUSSH!
The two launch capsules detached from the hull of the space station, diving through the thick clouds and polluted skies of Earth at unimaginable speed.
There was no blaze of fire from atmospheric friction. No deafening roar.
Their energy shielding technology was far too advanced to be detected by any military radar on Earth.
That night, without anyone realizing it, uninvited guests from the heavens were descending with absolute threat.
