Chapter 27 - the conversation has ended

On the highest floor of No Name Corporation, the double doors to No Name's office opened without a sound.

Altair stepped inside casually, as if the building were nothing more than his personal lounge.

Across the room, No Name sat leaned back in his grand chair, staring at the uninvited guest with eyes as cold as outer space.

"You have a rather decent place for an anomaly," Altair began, smiling arrogantly. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Altair, representative of The Axiom, Keeper of Balance. I have not come to fight, but to correct the world order you have damaged, Nameless Devil."

No Name gave no response.

He merely tapped his finger against the desk.

One... two...

"The power you possess, Pure Darkness, and those fundamental stones... they do not belong to you. Hand them over now, and we will allow your existence on Earth to continue," Altair threatened in a nauseatingly diplomatic tone.

"By what method?" No Name replied, his face utterly indifferent.

"You do not wish to know." Altair's voice sharpened with menace.

Meanwhile, dozens of floors below...

BRUKK!!

Tora was hurled into the underground laboratory wall hard enough to crack it. His twin axes slipped from his hands.

At the center of the room, Vega, now fully visible, stood tall without a single scratch on his black nano-suit.

"Weak," Vega hissed coldly.

He flicked his hand, forming a hard-light energy blade from the device on his wrist.

Scyte burst from the shadows, swinging his iron scythe toward Vega's neck.

Vega did not even turn. He simply raised two fingers, caught the scythe's blade effortlessly, then drove a kick into Scyte's stomach so hard the boy coughed blood and flew across the room toward the Blue Stone storage vault.

"Scyte!" Rare shouted.

The child charged forward dragging Excalibur behind him, while Arrow fired a barrage of arrows in support.

Vega merely snorted.

A wave of quantum suppression pulsed from his body.

Instantly, Arrow's arrows slowed midair and dropped uselessly to the floor.

Excalibur suddenly became as heavy as a mountain, causing Rare to collapse beneath its impossible weight.

The four prized Pions of No Name lay helpless.

The difference in technology and combat power was simply absolute.

Vega walked calmly toward the vault.

"Playtime is over, children."

Back on the top floor...

Altair was still rambling about the philosophy of cosmic balance.

"...and that is why you must understand that beings such as yourself can only bring destru—"

Tuk.

No Name's finger stopped tapping the desk.

His sharp instincts caught the fluctuation of energy in the underground chamber.

The air in the office suddenly became unbearably heavy.

The temperature plummeted.

Shadows in the corners of the room twisted violently.

Altair halted mid-sentence, his eyes widening slightly as he felt the eruption of Pure Darkness with no warning.

Without threat. Without reply. Without caring for a single word Altair had spoken...

No Name vanished from his chair.

A second later, he was standing directly in front of Altair's face.

"You talk too much," No Name whispered.

Before Altair could activate his defensive shield, No Name drew back his right arm, already wrapped in dense black mist mixed with crimson flashes from the Red Stone, then unleashed one pure and absolute straight punch.

DUAARRRRR!!!!

The explosion of physical force and void energy was so violent it obliterated half the top floor.

Altair's body folded under the impact.

He was launched downward like a guided missile, smashing through concrete floors, steel beams, and pipe networks, tearing through dozens of stories without losing momentum.

In the underground chamber, Vega's hand had just nearly reached the Blue Stone vault when the ceiling above suddenly exploded.

CRAASHHH! BOOOOM!!

Steel debris rained down.

Altair's body crashed into the floor beside Vega with a horrifying crunch, creating a massive crater that shook the entire laboratory.

Vega's eyes widened in shock.

He instinctively leapt back, staring at his chairman now lying in the crater, his elegant suit reduced to ruins.

Tora, Scyte, Arrow, and Rare, still sprawled on the ground, held their breath.

They looked upward toward the gigantic hole in the ceiling stretching all the way to the night sky.

From behind the rising dust, a black-robed figure slowly descended.

Pure Darkness coiled around him, mixed with a crimson aura.

No Name's eyes glowed bright red through the shadows.

He landed directly in front of his battered four Pions, shielding them with his back as he faced Altair, who was crawling to his feet with blood at the corner of his mouth, and Vega, already fully prepared for battle.

"You touched what is mine," No Name's voice echoed, heavy with absolute killing intent.

"Now... try leaving this place alive."
