I, who had been hiding and listening, shuddered at the murmuring of one of the knights.

I was actually right about my suspicion. As I expected, my poor reputation seemed to have negatively influenced Tev's first impression.
'But, seeing how well he's doing now, he'll probably adapt well, right?'
