#Chapter 43
I took in a deep breath and let it out slowly.
It was a gamble from the start, really; I handed Hirkan the note and attempted to get into contact with the Niaakal kingdom.
Wizards are wired entirely differently from human beings.
Hence, only wizards could physically restrain other wizards.
Though Hirkan was kept at the Carnoire castle as a prisoner, he was capable of leaving at his will.
Though Zahid was also aware of that, he didn’t do much about it.
As long as I stayed here, Hirkan had no choice but to quietly remain caged.
Another reason was that Hirkan wasn’t smart enough to be a spy of any kind.
Unless he was at war, Hirkan didn’t try to do much proactively.
He was trying to protect his crumbling mentality by minimizing any mental activity.
Thus Zahid judged him as a passive and idiotic wizard that only knew how to fight on the battlefields.
But Hirkan’s uncomplicated way of thinking made me easier to control him.
