If they could not fully seize him, killing him was the right choice to make. Now that Ethan had manifested as the Wizard of Wind, it was even more appropriate because, given the choice, Aerta would choose Ethan over Zahid no matter what.
In all honesty, the best option would have been killing the wizard and eating the Purifier, but… that was off the table indefinitely because Zahid had fallen in love.
Surrounded by both the Imperial and Holy Knights, Ronya watched as the black carriage left.
She had suspected that the Arlez twins would manifest as wizards, but things broke out before she had the chance to report back to Zahid.
“But our predictions… even if we had told him about them, things would have still ended up like this, right?”
“Yes, they would have.”
Jantzen nodded and responded quietly as he watched along with her.
