Chapter 23 - Entrance exams P.4

Red lightning flashes around my body and I bounce off the ground, which cracks beneath me. In an instant, I fly across the street and another robot loses half of its body. Metal parts fly in all directions and its body falls to the ground with a thud.

I didn't even slow down.

I could still feel the stares of the other students. Some tried to follow me, others preferred to avoid me. I honestly understood them.

When a several-meter-tall demon in black armor appears next to you and crushes a group of robots with a single move, most people will think twice about getting close.

"You have thirty-seven points."

"Is that all?"

"In the last two minutes."

"Ah." That sounded better.

Agrona, meanwhile, moved along the street beside me. The huge figure seemed almost out of place among the buildings. His every step shook the surroundings.

Still, he held back; if he wanted to, he could clear half of the test area in a matter of minutes.

And that probably wouldn't be completely inconspicuous.

"My lord."

„Hm?"

"Top right."

I looked up. On the roof of the building, three students were fighting a larger robot. And they were losing. The robot had a three-point value and its armor was apparently resistant to their attacks.

One boy with an electric Quirk was barely standing. A girl with a stone ability was trying to create a shield around them. And a third student had just been kicked through a billboard.

"Oh yeah." I sighed.

"More save points."

"Exactly."

I disappeared, a red flash shot through the air, and the students didn't even have time to react. I appeared right in front of the robot. It immediately raised its arm, which severed Kasak's fang from its torso. I simply punched through the next attack, the etheric energy exploded, the metal twisted.

The robot flew back a few meters. Then a shadow swept across its body and six black spears shot out of the ground, tearing it to pieces.

The three students just stared at me. "Are you okay?" No one answered.

"I take that as a yes." And I disappeared again.

"You're starting to build a reputation," Agron noted.

"That doesn't sound good."

"It never sounds."

"Fair."

In the end, nothing interesting actually happened.

For the next dozen minutes I just ran through the streets, destroying one robot after another and occasionally helping someone who got into trouble. After a few minutes, Agron retreated back into the shadows because he was attracting too much attention and I didn't need to make more of a fuss than necessary.

The points were adding up.

Roboti mizeli.

And time was running out.

After a while, I even started to notice that most of the students preferred to avoid my part of the testing zone. I honestly wasn't surprised. When you see someone flying down the street covered in red lightning and cutting a robot in half several times in a row, you start to wonder if it's not better to hunt for points somewhere else.

Finally, a siren sounded throughout the campus, signaling the end of the test.

The students gradually stopped fighting and headed for the exits. Some looked excited. Others disappointed. A few of them were injured so badly that they were immediately taken over by paramedics.

I just stretched my back and headed for the exit.

"So what do you think?" Agron asked.

"I think if they don't take me after this, the problem is somewhere else."

"I agree."
